There are a lot of things to do to prepare for the cold weather of winter. There's a lot of folks that don't realize the planning and effort you guys have to do using certain types of equipment, i.e. the sprayer needing antifreeze. Good one thanks Eric, have a great week.

Rainchains work but how do you change direction at the bottom to run away from the building? If you have a lot of water runoff you can put 3 or 4 chains and it helps a lot. I'd get rid of that downspout altogether. Increase the size of your eavestrough and downspouts if you have to and have just two, one at either end. Your good for winter now. Cheers 🇨🇦
@ajskab992 жыл бұрын
We wanted to put rain chains on our house in MO and were told not to do it. They will freeze up and the weigh could damage our roof. We went with regular downspouts.

It has been my observation over the years that there are “animal people” and there are “machinery people”. Animal people tend to be solely focused on the animals and pay little attention to their machinery, it’s cleanliness and maintenance where, conversely, machinery people tend to do the opposite. But…….Eric, you strike me as an exception. You pay equal attention to both your herd AND your machinery. 👍 P.R.E.T.T.Y good!

I follow a hoof trimmer called The Hoof GP and he goes in depth about all the details of hoof trimming. Hoof care is very important. Animals in pain don't eat right, they can't move well and there's a direct correlation between output and input. No eating is lower production.

Very nice video as always, just reminder try not to have a dog in front of a animal you're trying to push up or walk up or yard work, animals don't like it and as you seen the last cow charged as natural response. Animals have long term memory and won't move for you and will expect a dog there everytime. You couldn't devert some water to go in the big pit when needed? That big rough imagine the water you could collect save so much $$$, could even have an under ground tank if space an issue.
