Just use the shackle. Best to have a battery connected to the winch, then if you want to run wires from the truck to charge the battery on the trailer while driving. Thats the best aet up for a winch.

It’s alway good to be attached to that new trailer when loading a light vehicle but you can load that car while the trailer isn’t connected to a truck.

If your gonna pull that much angle down to that snatch block your gonna need to switch from that solid fairlead to a roller style or its gonna eat that synthetic rope up thats why your getting that black from the line on your fairlead. If you read the instructions tell you your not suppose to have more than a 15 degree angle out the farilead. also can mount the winch vertical but then you would always have to use the snatch block. Just some food for thought Nice video

NICE VIDEO.....IF YOU WANT TO GET THE FIRST CAR A LITTLE FUTHER FORWARD.....UNHOOK THE V-STRAP / BRIDLE.....AND HOOK IT IN A SET OF FRAME HOLES BEHIND THE FRONT WHEELS AND PULL IT TO WHERE YOU WANT IT WITHOUT BOTTOMING OUT THE CABLE.....ALSO.....AT THE REAR OF YOUR TRAILER.....HAVE YOUR WELDER INSTALL TWO ROLLERS IN THE CENTER OF YOUR TRAILER WHERE IT BENDS AND AT THE VERY END.....THAT WAY YOU PROTECT YOUR CABLE AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE THAT BLOCK OR WOOD EVERYTIME YOU START TO BRING THE VEHICLE UP ONTO THE TRAILER.....THE CABLE WILL ROLL AND NOT BIND OR GET DAMAGED.....
