You don't need to do this with images. Only maybe animations and movies when you want timestrecher, if you are using loader. With images if bring them via loader you can set it to loop, and if its image sequance just set hold first frame for how ever long you want. Or the simplest way, is to simply not update. Select node or nodes and right click on them and choose Modes: Uncheck update.
@SUALVI4 ай бұрын
Yes, but if you use the loader, then you can only use images. So, I ended up using the MediaIn method so it works with any type of media. But you are right, also, WHAT?! There's an uncheck update button???🤯

@@SUALVI Yes. just use on any node CTRL + U. its the same menu as CTRL + p to pass trough node. It can be found under right click menu on node and modes section. It will no update and essentially its freeze frame from where you playhead was. Like time stretcher node. Works on video too and any node. It will have a little icon indicting its disabled. There is also option to force cache to essentially prioritize cache for some nodes over others, and cache to disk for branch of stuff you have finished in a node tree. About loader. I forgot you are on Resolve Fusion, in Fusion Studio standalone you can load any video or anything. Another tip. If you load in Fusion studio something that is video long say, 525 frames and your timeline is not as long or longer. You can SHIFT drag the clip to ruler / timeline and it will change length of composition to the clip frame number. In Resolve of course we use timeline to change how long the composition is, but in fusion studio this is how it can be done. Cheers!

@@KrunoslavStifter Learning something new every day... I wonder why they don't bring that feature form standalone fusion into the loader in DVR 🤔
@KrunoslavStifter4 ай бұрын
@@SUALVI Me too. :) Good question. I am not quite sure. Loader is more or less crippled version of one in fusion studio and in resolve 19 they even removed very useful proxy settings menu. Until Resolve 19 we had same way to use proxies in fusion page as in fusion studio with 1-30x resolution reduction for the viewer so we can preview animation of more complex compositions. Now in Resolve 19 the menu has been removed and the only thing that exists now is timeline proxy resolution mode, same as on edit page with Full, half and quarter options. No longer 1-30x. Shame. There are still open FX filters missing in fusion studio, only available in Resolve, hopefully there will be more parity in the future .

Pretty useful. Wonder if the trick works with magic mask in Fusion. As there's been times I've wanted to mask out an image, but it does everything over and over again and is lagggy. So, I just export a mask in color page for it usually, but it's still tedious.
@SUALVI4 ай бұрын
It does work! Just set the keyfeame on the timestretcher to be the one where you made the mask

This is not a quick guide type of video. It's a more laid back one. I have the under 1 minute series that are in that style.😉 I have plans of making more of those in the future.
