The storylines have gotten weaker and weaker throughout the series. This season should have aired the series finale. People leave and move on, it's natural. Derek and meredith could have moved and lived their happily ever after. But Shonda wants to make the doe so they pushed on with a half broken/patched up marriage, and then a widow.

I agree some of the storylines aren't the greatest but i also get why they had Meredith so opposed to leaving, she was practically raised in that hospital growing up, then came back after school and went through a ton of crap, lost a lot of ppl. I like to think that in a way their memories are kept alive for her by being there. She has a lot attached to that place, i do hope the storylines get better watching individual epiosdes is great but the overall stories don't have the same kind of impact.

@@RivreShappire no healthy human would stay there after all that happened. All the interns left because that place was simply not a healthy work environment. She could have moved have a great carreer on the east coast, and a happy family life, like Alex and Izzy.

If I remember since season 1 Mer has been doing things the derek way she has been saying yes to derek without hesitating even when he told her all step back for you he never did he took on More, and looking for a job for Mer it's the same thing Ellis did for Thatcher and it didn't go well, it was a reapeting cycle which Mer didn't want plus Derek ambushed her with papers saying we are moving, while Mer wanted to earn the job not to work by the shadow of your husband searched this job for you
