10x42 Binoculars Review: Vortex Diamondback HD vs Vanguard Endeavor ED II and IV

I ordered the Vanguard Endeavor ED IV 10x42 based on this video, but I am disappointed and I am sending it back. The image is clear but blurry, it is not a sharp binocular. I compared it with the previous model, which you also show in the video, and the older model has a sharper image and a larger field of view field, brightness is on the same level. So Vanguard Endeavor ED II is better than ED IV

There can be some sample variation in binoculars and I wonder if you just got a bad sample of the Endeavor IV. Mine was sharp and very well corrected. The only reason I replaced it since then was because it was somewhat heavy for long hikes.

@@AbdurAstro I don't know if I got the wrong sample or not, but I was talking to a guy and he was selling Endeavor IV and he said he likes Endeavor II better.But now I noticed that the Endeavor II in your video has a gray bridge and the newer model has a black one, and maybe that's the reason for the misunderstanding

How are the Endeavor IV’s holding up? I’ve read comments on quality control issues. I was considering the Meopta Optika 10x42 but read some positive reviews on the Endeavor II and IV 10x42 binoculars. Cheers!

The Endeavor IV's were great but over time I found them a bit heavy while hiking long distances. So I had to compromise a bit and find a pair that was light but still maintained great image quality. I settled on the Celestron TrailSeeker ED 10X42 and I have been using that as my main pair. The outer portion of the field of view isn't quite as flat and clear as the Endeavor IV but it's close and they feel much lighter after a few hours of hiking.

@@AbdurAstro Weight is definitely a consideration when carrying binoculars for extended periods of time. It be nice to find an affordable pair that combined light weight and quality optics, but you have pay alpha binocular prices. I’ll have check out those Trail Seekers.
