Started at the beginning of the season and watch a game a week. Didn't get to see them all and even then could hardly watch an entire game, LSU with it's history and all. Saw LSU live one time, 1958 at age 11. This team - all I remember is "Go to Hell Old Miss, go to Hell." Have always been a fan of the Tigers, though I've has other teams I followed because I lived there. Ohio State, Delaware, Colorado, Ga. Tech. Just wanted to put out there, at this late date in my life, that the 2019 team, with eight quality wins, no losses, with the studs on the field, was worth waiting seventy plus years to witness. The football gods were very generous to the fans of LSU this past year, a once in a lifetime experience, mark my words. Arguably the greatest team to grace the gridiron (no shade on Nebraska 95) with plenty of heroes that made it happen. The perfect storm if you'll excuse the analogy. What a wonderful season!

Not really. LSU's rushing defense going into this game was ranked number 2 in the SEC, and early in the game, the defense played well against Ole Miss at stopping the run. As Ole Miss was playing a conventional spread offense. However, after LSU scored its fourth touchdown and went up in the game 28 to 0, Ole Miss made an offensive adjustment. As they put another running back in the game and switched to a triple-option offense with a ton of misdirection and they caught LSU completely flat footed and totally unprepared to stop a triple-option offense. Most teams that face a triple-option offenses prepare and practice for a week before they play cause it requires assignment football, strict gap integrity, and extreme discipline to stop it. However, Ole Miss sprung it on LSU in the middle of a game and without LSU having anytime to prepare for it. In the first game of the season, LSU played Georgia Southern who feature a triple-option offense and held them to 98 total yards of offense. However, LSU prepared for a week beforehand to stop a triple-option offense first. Meanwhile, when Ole Miss suddenly switched to a triple-option offense in the middle of a football game, they caught LSU completely flat-footed and ill prepared to stop it and therefore, ended up gashing LSU repeatedly for a ton of yards. Plus, Plumlee and those two running backs are far better than the personnel Georgia Southern featured. In any event, luckily there are no more teams like Ole Miss on the schedule for the remainder of the season. As I'm not worried about the Ole Miss game in the least as that game is an aberration and won't happen again. As long as LSU continues playing against the run the way they were playing before that Ole Miss game, LSU will be fine.

Ole Miss really did gash LSU defense with which I counted at least they had 5 future NFL players just on the defense and the offense averaged 48 points a game. This team right here, I mean that quarterback right dere tore LSU'S defense to shredes!!!
