Tvens I think the Time Space Continuum wouldn't allow such a universal perversion of time. If it were okay, then we could time travel on the whim of a finger and be basically 4th dimensional beings. But no, we are humans. The weakest yet strongest life forms to ever be created. Our hubris and ego hold us back with innate ability to be uncaring and cruel to other while also loving unconditionally. We are a weird species but have the potential to become so much more. If the Universe/God is conscious across all of space and time then it or He will prevent diversions in set events so that even further travesties don't occur. As such did in this once. Sure he fixed it, but in the end he finally realized he couldn't do such a thing. It was kinda like how The Doctor in Doctor Who explained that some events in history are time locked; meaning nothing can be changed in that spans of time when an event takes place. Doesn't matter how powerful or advanced you are, the physical universe won't allow tampering with it...

Tim Tam Read the book. There is so much more, and the show had to basically change the entire thing. I’m surprised Stephen King was ok with so many changes.

@@BenNixon32 he’s usually pretty lenient. Likes to see how other writers, producers and directors view his work. I read the book twice and the only thing I found different was that Bill wasn’t a supporting character which makes sense that he is in the show otherwise we would be listening to Jake narrating his thoughts for 70% of the show. Also, the Pennywise and the Losers Club easteregg wasn’t in the show. Nonetheless, I thought this was one the best King adaptations

in the book the scene of Sedie's discovery that Jake comes from the future is much more complex and more credible, in the book several key episodes happen that are missing in the TV series, such as the song Jake sings in the car which scandalizes Sedie and asks him where the hell he heard a song with such dirty phrases, the Cuban missile crisis in 1962, where Jake describes to Sedie before it happens the exact words that the American and Soviet delegates would have said to each other at the UN, and finally the part where Jake asks Sedie if she would be willing to follow him to a place where they could treat his face much better than the best healthcare of the time. in the TV series she believes him without reason, almost by faith, without doubting, it is not credible, without all the episodes present in the book that make sense of the question that Sedie asks Jake: "but are you from the future?" and after a bit of hesitation he says: "yes", Personally, I would have really liked to see these 3 moments, that are completely absent in the series in the TV series.

Sadie only dies in one time stream. He goes back and allows Kennedy to get shot again. Sadie doesn't die in that one. He meets her in the present time and she's an old lady

"I saw her standing there" was already released 6 months by this point. How did she not know that or catch the beatles reference? They were playing it up as if they didn't exist? Or was this inferring the Beatles weren't big in the US until after JFK was killed?
@bm6nation4 күн бұрын
It wasn't released in the US until December so yeah the Beatles were not big in the U.S. yet. It wasn't until I Want to Hold Your Hand and I Saw Her Standing There were released together did they start to blow up in the U.S. I Want to Hold Your Hand became a #1 hit in January '64.
