Burlington IA certainly has some twisting curved trackage and then the big hill climbing West out of town. Too bad Burlington Junction wasn't switching there as they own some interesting units. Very nice picture of the coal train going away with that GE barking like a U30C. Good run by at Fort Madison esp all the green coil cars and those IC black gons with lids. Their recently has been an influx of them coming down from Sault Ste Marie Ontario. It was nice to see a photo from the platform at Fort Madison considering all the cameras from virtual rail are down on views

Fort Madison is amazing and this whole area is amazing! The depot in Fort Madison has so much character and prolly the cleanest depot I've been in over the years. I always watch the railcam daily and gonna get back over there at some point soon, thanks again for taking the time to watch my videos Paul!

Thanks so much Pete! Yes that is the end of the CN yard and that bridge you're right on! They have added brand new siding tracks just beyond that bridge in South Effingham. So when I was a kid that bridge wasn't there and it was a country road with no gates just railroad X crossing signs and farm fields. I think that bridge was put in in 1993 due to all the traffic esp with Conrail now CSX in town. Funny how things change over the years! Thanks for taking the time to watch my videos!

Sadly here the "when I was a kid" train references are nearly always about what has gone away rather than a new extension to a yard. Hopefully now they've put some extra tracks in they'll send some extra trains down to fill them up for you. 😊😊
