Question please, why do you manually apply 3 vampire touch before using the aoe that apply to all?

Shadow Crash only applies dots to 8 targets, so in pulls with greater than 8 targets you need to manually dot some

yes its an option, the damage + saving the global of having to reapply dots is generally worth it. however if you have a lot of time left on your dots you can use swp

Staying on one target, if you're playing distorted reality instead of minds eye though you can spread them around. But shadows main job in keys is to blast a priority mob

yo so the DA build is generally better with no tier set and in lower keys (when mobs die really quickly) however when you get into high keys the void eruption build starts taking over

its a weird bug with the blizzard client, dots do get applied to them but the nameplates just dont show it. probably just a performance thing

Void eruption is so much more fun and flavorful than DA - great to see it get some play. Gives you a cool visual, awesome spell in voidbolt, does aoe dmg on cast, and has a fun extension mechanic with devouring plague that rewards skilled play. DA does none of that. I don't suffer from nostalgia for MOP/Cata/whatever expansion DA is from. I hope they rework DA or (much better) remove it so people aren't forced to play it sometimes due to numbers tuning. Same with mind spike - mind flay has been an iconic flavor ability since Vanilla - shadow is a "dot and channeled filler spell" spec with the occasional 1.5 second cast in mind blast, which makes it unique compared to every other spec with a 1.5 to 2 second casted filler (frostbolt, fireball, arcane blast, wrath, shadow bolt, etc.) Maybe I just didn't play in Cata/MOP/WOD enough to feel the love.

I definitely agree here, I like the angel wings from Dark Ascension but thats pretty much it and they could probably easily add that to Voidform if they wanted to. Other than that I really wish they would just pick Voideruption and really focus in on that being shadows main dps cooldown instead of having a weird split

It used to be called dark archangel (regular archangel was for disc) and it was just a flat damage increase. Like most spells that have been rehashed for modern wow, DA is an inferior version and id rather they slot the dam increase onto VE and make us a proper dot class again. If i wanted to play a purple spellcaster id just play arcane lol
