This -10m/s is for falling, so for going upwards(which is asked) v=+10m/s

See, first we will put the values of different variables into the given equation, then in -(h-6) put the value of h=5t². Then if u open the brackets, it will become -5t²+6 and there will be -5t² on the other side as well so it is cut off and then the equation remains somewhat like this: 6=2t-0.2, do some basic math and u will get 3.1seconds and put the value into h=5t² equation nd u will get 48.05 as ur height.

when a number is squared or cubed its roots increases to give one or other roots as negative value or other positive value thats why t=+-2 (for ex t=2 squaring both sides will give t^2=4 then sending the square to right side it becomes +-2) i hope it helps you clear this concept

sir the value of time cannot be negative because in the equation S =ut+1/2gt2 . on putting small u equals to zero we will get the value of s equal to half of gt square. time period will be minus h into 2 upon small g . as minus comes in both numerator as well as the denominator hence it becomes positive. time period will be positive 2 seconds and not minus 2 seconds.

I got -45m Firstly I Calculated the speed of stone i.e Speed =d/t = 6/0.2 Speed = -30m/s Therefore final velocity because it is falling as we know that is -30m/s Then V=u+at We get T=3s Then put ( t=3s , v=-30m/s , a=-10m/s² ) these value in s=ut+½at² We get s = -45m
