Steps to make lewis dot structure 1. Draw central atom & arrange side atoms around it. 2. Calculate Q. 3. Draw single bonds connecting central atom to each of the side atoms. 4. Calculate BPe and LPe 5. If LPe ≠0 then use them to add lone pairs (starting from side stoms. If their octets are complete adjust them on central atom) 6. In case needed, add multiple bonds. 7. If (+) charge present put it on central atom and if (-) charge present put it on side atoms.
