I think Aria was meant to be A, and the theory became popular amongst super fans and Marlene changed it, or think she's working with big A at least. I'm pretty sure Aria has Multiple Personality Disorder aka Dissociative Identity Disorder.

Yeah i agree with u. I think that Aria was meant to be the ultimate A behind Mona's actions (you can see in the end of season 2 when someone visit mona in Radley and she says "I did what u said" or something). And that red coat was used by Aria in season 2 (If I'm not wrong). Aaaaand wren draws a red coat girl with black hair. I mean, of course she was meant to be -A. And even it's pretty obvious, i would be happy if she was A, cause the show became really confused and almost impossible to know who A was.

I think it's going to be someone absolutely no one expects. Like...IDK. Aria's mom. ella (arias mom) is actually one of my main candidates for murderer or big a. ive read some really really good theories on ella 'killing' Alison, then Byron burying her to cover for his wife. mrs dilaurentis had an affair (and possibly a child) with Byron so they have a cover up agreement. then mike is big a bc they always used to say someone in byrons side of the family was messed up like a double personality or something so he could have 'taken over' for mona. those are my favorite theories :) so arias mom might be right! I just think the entire Montgomery family are some psychotic screw-ups lol :)

Thus, she became furious because her identity might have been discovered because either Ezra is closest to knowing she's A (because he has been spying on them) or he does know already. xD Still, it's just my theory. :)

She could probably be Allison's sister that was sent to a mental hospital due to a reason, and she must've harbored hatred towards Allison because she never had a real family like her sister did. I really do believe Bethany looks a lot like Allison (a twin too perhaps), I mean if someone died and was thought that its you, it must've mean that the dead person looks a lot like you, plus Allison's parents must've done a DNA test ( I mean how can they assume that it is that person without doing so), and if it did match with Allison's parents, then Bethany Young must be their daughter as well. My theory though is that each characters has their own A. Allison's A must be Bethany. Still, there is a leader among this crazy A armies. There probably is a Big A. Aria's twin (Big A) could be Bethany's friend. They probably met at a mental hospital once. Big A influenced Bethany to scare her sister, Big A got out of control so her family decided to transfer her on a far far away place (Iceland anyone?) xD Plus until now, we still don't know who's Aria's brother keep chatting with over the net. --- But my real issue is, why did Aria's family went to Iceland? For a vacation? Really? You do vacations for a whole year? What about her parents' work? Insignificant for them perhaps? And if they decided to move their, why come back? What's the reason they came back? Because her dad missed the mistress? I don't think so! It could've been a perfect opportunity for Aria's dad to come back alone and F* his mistress. But why bring the whole family back again? And Big A was Allison's problem alone before, it was none of the girls' issue. But after Aria came back, it suddenly became theirs too. Aria having a twin might have been farfetched, but I know Aria's hiding something especially the whole Iceland thing. There's a reason they went there and yet came back for another reason too.

anything could happen, but i think aria is A too. It might not even be to get 'revenge' on anyone - it could just be because she has some kind of psychological disorder. With everything that happened with her brother (and her uncle) with their mental disorders, aria could have one too. plus, ezra once said that there isn't anything he wouldn't do for her, but he might not be the only one. and everytime someone has tried (or will try) to kill her, it could be because they find out that she's A and want her dead. She did kill Shana, who may have actually found out who was trying to kill Alison. Plus there are a lot of seemingly deliberate clues in the show itself. I don't know - I'm not an expert, but that's why I think Aria might be A.

I really want Aria to be A!!! I think it would make everything interesting, if A is one of the liars. Once we know A's identity, it'll be awesome to go back on every episode thinking of the person as the one who was behind it all, analyzing every move she/he makes. And if that person is Aria, it's gonna be so good. If A was someone like Wren, Aria's dad or Maya it wouldn't be as surprising and shocking, since they're not involved in the story all the time and have not much connection with the liars. A lot of people think one of the clues is that aria is shushing at the end of the theme song but I think she is shushing because she was closest to ali so she probably knows more secrets than the rest of the girls so aria is probably shushing as in a signal to keep secrets about Ali that the other liars don't know about.

I picked up on some more clues as to aria could be a even though she’s not. She has the least amount of a text and nothing really bad happened to her. Emily had a car go through her living room and almost killed her mom Hannah got hit by a car. And all Ariana guy was threats that I was going to tell everyone that Ezra and aria were in a relationship together.

I think it makes sense here. Girls said in 1 season that A know their all secrets that Alison know , but maybe Aria know it too? Then we really didnt know why her family go to Iceland? Maybe she had some mental problems and they move out because they thought it will make her feel better. Then girls said that A know everything about them and what they want to do at the time, what will be their new move etc. How he know it? I dont know if shes A but also this hospital make me think about her case. I saw other video about theory that shes A and there we can see scene in hospital. We see some hospital sheets with her name on it and it was print and guy who work there ask her if she was there before because he swear he recognize her and she said of course no... but her family move to Iceland for year and it doesnt make any sense, why you move out only for year? With children, they need go to school make new friends its hard for them. I will understand if the want move out for 10 years or something but why change everything only for 1 year? And thats why I think they do this because of Aria... maybe she was at this hospital they said that she had mental problems and it will be good for her to change country.. thats why her parents decided to move out.. and its that why she could be A

i cant remember what the episode was called but it was in the one when ezra got shot. alison told the girls everything and told spencer that she was the one who threw Ian off the bell tower to save her. she then moved the body and so on.
