They do get tangled use gel like edge booster or shine and jam to refresh and to get them untangled use hair mouse you can also refresh them with that also.

To refresh them, I mix leave in conditioner and water in my spray bottle, got2b spray (to make it stand strong), and mousse! Make sure that you oil your scalp at least once a week!
