Hola! Gracias for your video and your recommendations! My wife and me will be doing a 10 day roadtrip in September. And I am from Mexico so we drive on the other side, so it will be fun to adjust 😅.

You’ll have an amazing time!! I find it harder to adjust back when going home than the initial change.

Easy for him because he drives on the left in Australia. I spent 3 weeks in Scotland (I am from Canada) and it was not until the last few days that I started relaxing while driving. This year we will also be in Scotland, but this time we will be travelling by train with day tours to Skye and Glencoe. Last time we visited Orkney and Lewis - places you NEED a car to explore.

You forgot to mention the procedure when pulling off to let an oncoming car pass on the many one-lane roads (there are KZbin videos that do explain this). We discovered (the hard way) that public toilets often require coins to open the door - so make sure you use the restaurant's restrooms before moving on. The only time I found the driving easy (as a Canadian) was on Orkney, Lewis, and long stretches, not on the main routes.

do parking meters accept credit cards (visa, mc, etc)? or only coins/bills?
@theslowtraveler20474 ай бұрын
Yeah you can just tap your card. They make it as easy as possible :-)
