I'm kind of glad I haven't tried Spartioides yet, it's one of my wishlist plants but I'll have to wait until I can get a larger plant. The flower is so adorable! Thank you for sharing your tips!

I recently purchased Acicularis. It has started growing some stem but no leaves yet. I would not have purchased it if I had seen your video first. My plant room stays 60 - 70% humidity and around 70F. I also find Engleriana a difficult hoya. I have put it in a terrarium because it kept growing leaves which then turned yellow and died. I do wish more growers would be open about their growing experiences. It really doesn't help to only hear the good things. I will continue to watch your channel for tips etc.

I'm so done with finnicky Hoya 😑 To hell with them. My Campanulata has been slowly dying for a year. Nothing I do is appreciated. I'm close to just dumping her in the trash. Hoya Serpens keeps dropping leaves, Hoya Perak refuses to grow. It produces multiple grow points, but kills them off before they can develop into anything. Hoya Thomsonii has had a sudden decline and all the cuttings I took have been sitting inactive for a year now 🤷♀️ And, astonishingly enough, Hoya Rebecca, David Cummingii and Krohniana Super Silver have also bitten the dust and the few cuttings are barely surviving. I dunno 🤷♀️ I am planning on sitting it out for another year and then I'll toss everybody still busy with their tantrum. Really kills the joy of growing them 😶

I think all the Hoya you have the most difficulty are cold temperatures Hoya. My stenophylla, inflata, Linavergarai are fast grower. Just don't leave them dry up more than 1 day

Another good video Fonnie. I hope you are doing well. I also find yvesrocheri difficult. My first one I grew in pon In my grow tent. It wasn't doing well so I switched to a more organic mix. All Leaves yellowed and dropped. My second one has yellowing leaves.

My acicularis is easy. It is in regular coco peat perlite and bark bix. I let it dry and it does well that way. Maybe it’s the pon for you?

Hard to believe Yves Rocheri is so sensitive...also, I haven't experienced that hoya are susceptible to mealy bugs. Watch Unplantparenthood, she handles her Yves Rocheri without any damage...

It’s funny how plants know their caregivers and react when the caregivers have to leave them (like to go on vacation)

i kept ignorata for around 2 years - it grew a handful of leaves but never thrived - then the root mealybugs got to it and it left my collection. I wanted to love it so badly, but I find it too tricky to try again

If you decided to try Ignorata again, lemme know if you have any care tips questions 😊
