Wouldn't you like to be showered with the French language all day long? This video is about 11 hours long, so you can create an environment where you can continuously practice your listening comprehension when you are awake. You can concentrate and practice or just let the sounds go in one ear and out the other when you are tired. Through continuous repetition and not giving up, you will train your ears to hear the French language.
At first, short sentences are the focus. Over the second half, the degree of difficulty gradually rises.
This listening series consists of recordings based entirely upon the "human voices" of native French speakers. A majority of listening practice videos, which imitate ours, use synthetic voices. However, for listening practice via synthetic voices, there are many instances where a liaison is unnatural. Thus, we do not recommend such a method of listening practice. For liaisons in the French language, listening to a natural human voice is the most effective method of listening practice.

I love the present arrangement, that is, the French to come first, as I find it great to train the ears to get used to the French sounds. I think it's more or less like the mechanism of a baby picking up a new language. I don't know if others will have this problem, but for me, if the English comes first, I will always try to get it translated in my brain and that compromises the fluency.

Great video. In contrast to other people, I like the random phrases that it does. It forces me to listen for the subject everytime. If all the phrases were grouped together by subject you could cheat a little bit by just knowing the general subject instead of having to listen to every word. I think it is better to listen to every word when you are trying to practice listening comprehension. It will help you to hear conversations going on around you when you are in France.

I think what may help would be a vocabulary list, perhaps with new words by the hour or something. I think it'd be easier to pick up while listening.

Definitely feel like my cognitive skills improved while listening to this. I’ve been learning French for years and years and I can think better in French than be quick in understanding so my whole goal this year was to just listen. I truly feel MUUUCH better having done this the whole year. Thank you

I registered for an optional French class at my university in Sweden, just because I enjoy languages and because this would give me some extra credits for my student grants (I have to get at least 75% of my expected total credits for any given time period when I apply for student grants), and this video will make that class extremely easy, lol.

It’s just to rushed! It needs to be repeated one more time at the end then more time before going to the next phrase.
