I love this video. And I love how you the parents are teaching your children moderation is good for treats and how to look for sale and lower cost items. So many children grow up to be adults who do not really know about looking for and finding better deals, healthier foods and that treats are good in small amounts. Plus teaching your children about money and cost of everything. I love the books y'all got. Yes this is something I have wondered myself too. From my experience, we were not allowed sweet treats or chips at home because my mom always was on a diet. From the start I made my own money I bought them secretly! That is how I gained to 140 kg 12 years ago. I try really hard to do things differently with my daughter

Hi! I appreciate your concern. Food disorders can develop for many reasons, and my goal with limiting lots of sugar and processed foods is strictly for their health. I've been studying nutrition for over 20 years, and children are now developing adult diseases. We do allow treats and snacks, but not daily. If we were having pizza with friends, I would never say no to my kids. I don't stop them from eating; I just don't buy highly processed foods. My older children have no desire to eat another way, but of course, they still go out with friends for burgers and fries. It's about balanace and that is how we have taught them.❤ I hope that helps explain things a little more.❤

It's commendable that you're striving to create a different approach with your own daughter. With my children, I'm helping them find balance and a love for food, but not the highly processed foods that will eventually harm them. I believe in allowing treats in moderation. We do have chips and sweet treats at home, but I opt for healthier versions to maintain a balanced diet.
