The neural-visual reaction to the illusion @ 2:44 must be the same neural-visual activity that is happening in an artists brain, when he or she>>>the artist, is drawing/painting a caricature of someone. So someone with that particular artistic talent, must have the ability to see the caricature within the person, without having the visual aid...(that small, pulsating cross, strategically placed between the two portraits) that the rest of us need to see in an effort to actually see the illusion. Sorry if I made that difficult to understand...lol...but I hope you understand what I'm tying to say. It was more of an intuitive thought response, as the illusion caused those portraits to really look like caricatures!...lol
