If you manually spend tempest in aoe does it change your windstrike duplicate back to lightning bolt?

It doesn't change it no, as blizzard changed it so we wouldn't have to reprime each time we cast tempest

It only consumes max 5 maelstrom with a windstrike, so if you windstrike with tempest and you have 10 MSW. You'll do half the damage

On the left side above my Primordial wave tracker there is my tempest tracker. Once I see myself with a stack I take a mental note if I get another through spending or Awakening storms. Glad you liked it 👍

You can use any other spenders like Healing surge,Chain lightning,Elemental blast and It will continue to work towards another tempest even if one is active currently

My shammy is 616 ilvl with 619 crafted + HC kyveza fist weapon, I feel like I essentially play the same way you do (but worse ofc) but my overall dps usually hovers around 1.1-1.2mill. I must be doing something wrong 😫 I’m usually quite bad at tab-targeting with lava lash but other than that I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. EDIT: just saw your dmg breakdown and damn I’m missing so much damage on lightning rod, mine usually sits below lava lash or even flameshock dmg 😅 Any tips to fix this?

Lightning rod is quite an important mechanic now for us. The easiest way is lining up the Primordial wave with Tempest, so not consuming the(Pwave) buff unless tempest is active and then you'll instantly spread 6 Lightning rods out when you consume it. Then it's just tab targeting Spenders/refunds and in ascendance windows making sure to tab target to different mobs if you're comfortable with it. A lot of packs in dungeons have a priority mob this season so you don't need to worry about the debuff spreading in a good amount of cases

If you have primordial wave up and you lightning bolt all targets with flameshock will get the lightning rod debuff. So it's great combining that with Tempest. The normal LB/CL/Tempest is just marking the person you've selected with lightning rod as you said

@@AverageTeaDrink Ah, I understand, that's what i figured. However I'm still having trouble getting lightning rod to be around 10% of my dmg, I usually get it to around 6% which seems quite low. And this is AFTER starting to rotate the spenders between targets :s

​@@VERBAHEH It can depend dungeon to dungeon on what % Lightning Rod is because some dungeons have more Priority mobs you'll focus down. Long as you keep at it you'll get more lightning Rod overall in the dungeon. It's a hard thing to master honestly as it's very easy to mess up and lose more DPS than you would've gained

So you pop ascendance & wolves and then start casting healing surge on yourself or a party member to get your Tempest Maelstrom tracker to 1-9, so your next spender will give you a tempest right away

I'd say it Elementalist edges out and personally I prefer it over Storm. The difference feels very minimal between the two so it comes down to preference

You can down the opacity of spell alerts so it looks that way

If you don't have a priority target to funnel/focus it's good habit tab targeting with Spenders/Refunds & Ascendance windows on different targets as long as you don't waste globals trying to do so as that will be more of a loss

at 613 i do the same combos , instead of pulling 5mil dps i do 1.4mil ? :D i dont understand, the difference in agility is so small

@@AverageTeaDrink Im missing 3k agi, 2%haste and 6%mastrey compared to you, with double tempest into pri wave followed with 2x empowered chain lightning i hit 2mil barely while you hit 8mil :D how is the small difference 4x damage difference is what i dont understand about the game :D

@@Mario0man Same man, all I see any stream I watch that enh hitting 4-5-6m eleblast/tempests, meanwhile me doing dogsht :D After I saw they buffing ret next week, that was my end with enh, its frustrating that others hitting hard and you dont, so back to ret :D
