I have a Farm King 10x31 gas powered auger. I just bought it new a few years ago. The local dealer told me he had not sold a gas powered one in over a decade. I put a 20 horse twin cylinder Honda motor. It is really handy for unloading bins away from home. No need to take a tractor along.

augers like that sure are handy, told dad just yesterday we should get a replacement for our farmking or convert it to a gasoline engine drive. So we wouldn't need a tractor on it to run it. awesome review I hope ya had a nice Thanksgiving

Our big auger originally had a 16hp Briggs, used it for years, until it had issues. 8"x51' i believe. We converted it to PTO. Thank you Roosty!!

Hi Ed. That sounds like a pretty big auger for a 16 hp engine but I guess pulley sizes can make quite a difference too.

@@roosty6 always ran it just fine, even into the higher bins. Would get some serious belt slap, especially putting wheat in the tall bins.

Always a gamble purchasing used equipment but seems like I got lucky on this one.

Seemed like every time I was assigned to pressure wash the manure spreader and tractor, it was a very windy day.

The wind can be quite helpful when cleaning up machinery as long as you work with it. Trying to do anything against the wind is an exercise in futility and frustration.
