Damn son those patches hit hard. That thing has a pretty raw sound. I’ve been waiting for somebody to make a video like this to show really how punchy it is and it did not disappoint. You got some great patches going on there. And that side chain patch was it actually side from the kick or was it just Designed to sound like a side chain. Either way it sounded just legend.

Thanks dude! Glad you dig the patches! You're correct, the sidchain patch is not actually sidechain compressed to the kick, it just has that ramp shape to the envelope to imitate it

Have you been able to create a generative patch for this yet since it has no S/H?
@slumpfishtx23 күн бұрын
I was able to get some generative craziness going by cross modulating 3 ways between the 2 LFOs and oscillator 1, then using that oscillator to modulate oscillator 2. It sounded pretty nuts and I ended up convoluting it even more by getting the filter involved and modulating the shape and the wave folder too.

These patches at base are pretty good, but they would really benefit from a good midi implementation if not outboard sources of CV

It definitely opens up more as an instrument when interacting with other modules but for this vid I wanted to show what the proton can do on its own since not everybody has extra gear to use with it. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
