Re: "...you are just reusing footage..." If you see a "hack" repeated it's because we thought it was good enough to list again, that is typically very rare of us to do and we'll refilm the segment 99% of the time... I don't like reusing footage. Some that stick out in my mind are peeling garlic by shaking it in a bowl and unclogging a drain with vinegar. Two quite AMAZING tips. That being said, we are human and make editorial errors just like any one else does. At least we aren't covering politics...

To clean out a coffee press without getting grinds down the drain, use two paper towels to cover the sink drain, fill the coffee press with water, then pour it over the paper towels. The water will run through, and the paper towers will trap all of the grinds. Then just bunch up the towels, let the excess water drain and toss it in the trash. You can also use regular drip coffee filters if they fit in your drain right.

Not if you get the tasteless kind. I hate coconut taste too, but am the user who goes through literal TONS of tasteless cooking coconut oil. Find it in the isle where cooking spray is. It'll say something about not having the grind or something in it so its flavorless. :D

Tip for getting the toothpaste out of the tube that you left in during that segment of this video: lay the tube on a flat surface such as the sink. Reverse your toothbrush and use the smooth rounded section to work the toothpaste up toward the top using lots of pressure. I've found that I can get just shy of a week's worth of toothpaste out of a tube after it is 'empty' by doing this & it only takes 10-15 seconds.

Oh my gosh. The hack at 3:10 reminded me of a Roomba I used to have. It would go around the floor for literally one minute and then say "please remove and clean Roomba's brushes." Suggestion: Next quick and simple life hacks use this one- when going to the grocery store, use heavier objects like drinks and 12 pack sodas to line front of the floor closest to the back car door. This will prevent other grocery items from falling out the door when you get home.

If you store bread in a bread basket or other container - please take out the bread and upend it over your bin when you put it away. It has taken me an embarassing amount of time, and an even more embarassing amount of moldy bread, to notice that old bread crumbs are the cause of much mold on bread. Your bread might be fresh from the bakers, but those crumbs are 2, 3, maybe 4 breads old, which will make them a breeding ground for mold. Which then will infect your fresh bread and make it rot much sooner. Don't do this. Food waste is a shame and costs money.

I use a Kool-Aid container bottle as my camera flash diffuser. I cut it into 3 pieces and use the opening and the bottom. I invert the opening and place it in the cab and take the bottom and glue it to the remainder part I use sandpaper all the way around and make the opening for the hot shoe Flash. it gives you a beautiful soft light and it works as a double and single diffuser.

Useful for Skunk Season! Vinegar works better than tomato juice, does not stain clothes, is safe on pets, and say if it's all over the house because some puppy escaped bath time after being skunked, stick it in little bowls or cups where the smell is and the vinegar will neutralize the skunk. Within 24 hours, the house will have no more skunk smell left and the vinegar smell will dissapate soon after you dump the cups.
