I’ve lived in NJ all my life and have not heard of a single one of these things/places. I’m amazed they didn’t put parks/museums on this list because we have some nice ones. My absolute favorite place in NJ is Grounds for Sculpture. It’s a huge garden with all sorts of plants, trees, flowers mixed wonderfully with man made sculptures (both realistic and abstract so something for everyone). My favorite sculptures are of people doing everyday things: a man painting the ocean, a man trimming garden hedges, a girl reading a book, a young couple laying under a tree, a young couple holding hands and dancing, etc. There are so many hidden pathways and trails that lead you to secluded little benches, weeping willow trees that hang over a river, just so much beauty to admire both natural and man made... My fiancé and I went here on one of our first dates. It’s a special place to us and is very romantic even if you are visiting by yourself. He and I are hoping to get married there in the next few years.

I agree with the title, but honestly NJ is way cooler than this makes it out to be. (Maybe I’m biased cuz I’ve lived here my whole life and never done any of these things) but New Jersey is amazing to me because of how surprisingly beautiful it is. Here in South Jersey at least, there’s beautiful lakes to canoe/kayak on and forests to explore. Plus the boardwalks of Wildwood and Ocean City and stuff are amazingly fun. Honestly unless you want to drive for an hour or more which also means sit in traffic, there is not much to do in most parts of NJ. The beach is 1-2 hours away from most people's homes and the drive sucks. NYC, same thing applies and the traffic getting into Manhattan has gotten out of control. Don't forget the $20 toll to just get into NYC. The suburbs are insanely boring. This place is fine to raise kids I guess but if you are my age, don't have kids and have disposable income to do fun sh*t NJ kinnda sucks. And the roads suck so if you have a nice car, as I do, it sucks because the roads destroy cars. And the weather is ass. There are a few nice towns for sure and some great food, for sure but overall NJ is very boring unless you have kids, love driving on shitty roads and don't mind constant traffic. Oh and it is the most polluted state in the country, like we shouldn't even be breathing the air, it's so bad @@SoYeahItsMeexD
