Ugh, I just cant believe my husband left me after 18 years, he just left me.he doesnt even want to talk to me anymore. Ive tried everything possible to get him back, but nothing seems to work and I cant stop thinking about him Im frustrated I dont see my life with anyone else. Ive done my best to get rid of the thoughts of him, but I cant I dont know why I’m saying this here, I really miss him and just cant stop thinking about him

Im really sorry to hear that. I went through something similar not too long ago. My boyfriend and I broke up and I felt completely lost. I tried everything, but it just seemed hopeless. Well I ended up reaching out to this incredible spiritual adviser. He helped me in ways I never thought possible. After working with him my husband came back to me and now we are happier than ever

This video was an eye-opener! The idea of controlling our reactions and finding strength within ourselves is so empowering. I've always struggled with being overly affected by others' moods, but these Stoic habits are something I definitely want to try. Especially the one about taking a break from social media - so needed in today's world!

So many emotionally free people here. Keep going good folk. I am learning to keep myself happy and if that doesn't fit others plans, then so be it. I'm learning to be happy with my lot. Social Media has a lot to answer for. I'll post when I feel like I want to with want I want. For my benefit or anything else I want. I have never taken notice of anything I see online that I let get to me, we all have our own lives to live enjoy your life, live your life for you and not others.

These recitations of wisdom from thousands of years ago will always be applicable as long as we are humans. Every technique Ive put into practice has had not-negative effects. I cannot see the end so I don't know if they will be negative, but it seems unlikely since it bolsters self-growth and a healthy expression of emotions. In other words its helped me a lot. I'm grateful for it.

The concept of emotional independence is both liberating and challenging. It's fascinating how the teachings of ancient philosophers like Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius remain so relevant, helping us navigate our modern lives with more resilience. This video brilliantly bridges that ancient wisdom with practical steps. Does anyone else feel that detaching from social media, as mentioned, has significantly improved their emotional well-being?

Marcus Aurelius really emphasized that power lies within our reactions, not the circumstances around us. This video does a stellar job explaining how Stoic principles can help us become masters of our own emotions rather than being at the mercy of external influences. Have you guys tried applying any of these Stoic habits in your day-to-day life? Which one resonated with you the most?

Usually if they just leave there’s been something wrong for them for a while and they have someone else who influenced them to go . You’re lucky there’s no fighting and he left safely without hurting you as usually happens when you try to talk through things .
@powerfulstoichabits2 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective. It's true that sometimes when someone leaves, there may have been underlying issues for a while, and external influences can play a role. It's definitely a blessing when things end peacefully without any conflict. It's important to recognize those signs early on and take care of our own well-being in the process.

I am emotionally detached, and embracing loss, What would you think or feel... if someone sweeps kitchen and pull rugs to sweep... you walk in and you made comment " oh wow sweeping and even sweep under the floor mats, how much does that cost?? I acted I never heard comment, kept sweeping, ... she stopped stood 4ft away, trying to make eye contact, I was sweeping and she her foot was just outside my range. I look up, .. she said lower tone and said "thank you" ... just look at her eyes said nothing, she said again "thank you" again , I just said" thank you" and kept sweeping.

It sounds like you're navigating a complex situation with a lot of emotional undertones. The way you described your response-staying focused on the task and acknowledging her without engaging too deeply-shows that you're maintaining a level of emotional detachment. Sometimes, actions speak louder than words, and in this case, your quiet, calm demeanor may have conveyed more than a lengthy conversation could. It’s clear that both of you recognized the effort being made, and even though there was a distance in the interaction, there was still a moment of connection, however subtle. How are you feeling about the way things played out? Do you think this approach is helping you in your journey of embracing loss and detachment?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Emotions are indeed a powerful part of our human experience, and they can guide us to deeper understanding and connection. While Stoicism teaches us to manage our emotions with wisdom, it also values the insight they provide. Balancing feeling from within and thoughtful reflection can lead to a more fulfilling and present life. Your perspective beautifully captures this balance. Let's continue exploring and embracing the wisdom from both our hearts and minds. 💪❤️🌎🙏

Breaking free from emotional dependence sounds daunting but is incredibly empowering. This video’s breakdown of Stoic habits makes the journey seem more approachable. I’m curious to see how others have implemented these habits and what changes they’ve noticed. Are there particular habits from the video that you’ve found more effective or challenging to incorporate into your routine?
