Very impressive to hold your composure after that. I just threw a 299 a few weeks ago. I get very amped up in last frame. Guess the nerves get to me. I do have 3 perfect games but 2 299 games now. It hurts. I’m definitely gonna hit a perfect game again. I’m only 31. I got a lot of years left in me. I’ve never had a serious injury in my life so looking good on that end.

This reminds me of an old Friday Night League I was on. There happened to be 2 different leagues that night and we didn't really like each other mainly because we found their league secretary to be really annoying. They had been bowling at another house but that place shut down so they moved their league to our house and refused to join our league. Twice in the first season of 2 leagues, we would have a bowler on the front 11 and just like this case, while they were in the process of their swing for the 12th, the other league secretary would grab the microphone to make an "announcement". When it happened a third time we went off on her because there was no way it wasn't intentional and we told the house owner that if she returned the next year we wouldn't. They refused to ban her so we kept our word and the majority of our league left the following season.

I did the same thing in the same situation, though the distraction for me was someone stepping up on the lane 2 lanes over (1-lane courtesy, so no etiquette fault). I reset, and got the 12th strike. I was also way older at the time. Way to go Lona!
