Ive actually experienced insane temporal displacement in terraria like this before. Some years ago I was playing Calamity with a friend, and at one point, the lag was somehow so bad that when i went to the dungeon, I thought my friend was with me, fighting off the mobs and picking up items. In reality, he had gone there 30 minutes ago. What I had seen on my screen had been his temporally displaced ghost, fully functional and engaging properly with the enemies and items on my side, but not synching up with what he was experiencing on his side. He was hosting the server ftr

I haven’t seen this happen with pure calamity, however it isn’t surprising that this happened in the dungeon. This sort of glitch happens when a massive amount of tiles get updated, and the crumbling dungeon walls trigger it constantly. It’s easy to tell when it happens if you are paying attention, since broken blocks stop dropping items. A simple relog fixes it.
