11 Year Old - Great Goalkeeper Saves

This is our son, Christopher, with some nice goalkeeper saves throughout the season. He is 11 years old and plays for CCV 03 Orange team (U12) in Arizona.

I have worked with a lot of young GKs over the years and have come to a POV that there really aren't any easy saves - as prior to any shot, the GK cannot be certain as to what might happen, when and where the shooter might shoot, what other opponents and teammates might do (or not do). While some saves may look easy as WE watch them, try seeing them as the GK looks at them.

No offence meant but hardly any of these shots are powerful and the more powerful ones are straight at him. I'm 12 and play for Hull City academy and the saves I have to make are a lot harder. Not to be big headed but I think I am a better keeper and I know better keepers than this kid

Guys for real?!?! Yes I agree that those were not the best of saves but as a goalkeeper you have one job, TO KEEP THE BALL OUT OF THE NET. And did he not do that? Remember he is only 11 and may not have as many oppertunities as some of us do to train. I am glad that he and his family and team see him as such a hero!
