i see this all the time, you can disable those arrows when you're passing traffic. you can find it in the content manager: Settings -> Assetto Corsa -> System -> Proximity indicator and turn that off

Ive actually seen an exhaust glow and spit fire just like that irl (on KZbin). Some drunk idiots were trying to blow the engine of a BMW E36 320i, I reckon it took over 30 mins at full rpm for the engine to seize up :( They were most likely redlining it before the recording considering I remember the engine to be overheating at the start.

It even got to the point where the entire car went up in flames.
