I am wondering how to use this information in an art work? I suppose PLAY stage we could do drips and runs! But no sure really how to apply this.

Hey Sheila-this technique can be used whenever you have a fresh oil/wax layer over a fairly set up one. Play, explore, clarify-whenever you want this type of effect 🌼😃

Great question! According to Gamblin, who makes gamsol, “gamsol is the safest, most effective odorless mineral spirit on the market”. I agree! This is the only mineral spirit I use 😁

It took me a long time too, Sharon - there are so many variables - how thick your paint is, how dry it is, whether you paint is transparent or opaque! Never give up - your studio is a lab and it takes many experiments before one works out :) Hang in there! :)
