Great work, Justin. This requires a lot of dedication.

Great stuff man! The center of "historic archery" is the BOW. And it must be heavy! Respect.

Hi Justin where do you suggest getting a bow above 150lbs composite bow? I have been shooting 110@ bows now and I want to work my way up. I understand i should be increasing my bow to 120, then 130..etc but in the real world, we all know how expensive these bows are. My 110lb bow is the fibreglass bow anyone can get from amazon but the joints are simply glued together with a small screw (the pigskin ones) and wrapped with cloth. I am amazed it hasnt exploded but it constantly makes rubbing sound. I am looking for a 150lb bow that is well constructed and under 500$.

Thks so much . A few questions. Hopefully i will get them clear. I was curious about the impact force ,Higher weight bows are generating at such short distance ? There is no time for it to lose much energy . Its all going into the target you are using . So what target are you using ? Plus ,how often do you need to replace it ? Is there a formula to calculate The force or energy being transferred?
@TheWayofArchery5 жыл бұрын
The target is a Rinehart Rhino Block. But I actually stack two back-to-back in case of a pass-through. As for force/energy being transferred, I'm not sure. I know if you know the mass and velocity of the arrow you can calculate momentum and kinetic energy... but as for how much of that transfer to the target, I'm unsure.

Justin, why did you used the manchu-style release not "Lightness" style like in the book? Any particular reason?
@jtma045 жыл бұрын
Ricky Sauqi I am using Lightness. Don't focus on the appearance. Rather, focus on the expansion process. Increasing draw length little by little towards release. That is Lightness.

Ricky Sauqi Lightness is not about Softness. It's about Natural Crispness.
