Zephyr’s ‘golden light on trees’ has to be one of my all-time favorite paintings. Thank you.❤❤

The smell of laundry drying in the sun is my favorite childhood memory!! The fence, however, is a distraction for me! I wish the fence was smaller…laundry needs a larger focus in the composition!

"The Sun OF Maine" The way Zufar captures what the sunlight is doing to the back side of the trees in the middle ground is so excellent! He really pushes his working of thousands of different colors of grays playing against each other to another level. The tone of the land in the furthest point of this painting is such perfection. A lot of painters get close, but he nailed this perfect! I know how well folks love these old boats. But for me, the boats are just in the way of an excellent painting that would stand alone better without their busyness.

Beautiful work. Also, you get artists to talk as freely as they wish liké no one else.

You know, I don’t know if it’s such a good idea to change your painting after you’ve looked at it for a while. I’m not saying you don’t continue to look at it for a few days and improve it and continue to work on the concept that you are trying to relay in your painting. But a After some time has passed, I think you should leave it alone. A lot of times when I look back even later, I think maybe the original was better. I think if you think it needs that much of a change you should just repaint it. Because you feel differently at different times. And your changes are not necessarily better. They’re just different. I have regretted messing with my paintings and wish that I had just left them alone.
