I never heard of heat treated stone until i started watching your videos, mind you I've mainly watched British flint knappers ,until a few months ago. 5

yea even the uk archaeologists were slow to consider heat treatment for the finer arrowheads found in burial contexts . there is evidence in scotland of heating poor quality irish flint to make nice knappable stone . there is a paper available on this topic with a search using "fire in the flint" and "john lord"

Hey man my stone requires a lot more effort and energy, see? Look how hard I'm smacking it, cool right? That means I win because my stone has more incipient cracks than yours does after I hit it. Nice moose bilit, I bet I could crack that in one hit, here watch I'll show you
