Nicky Miranda Other people identified them as part of the “sect of the Nazarenes” (Acts 24:5), a sect of Judaism at the time. The name was probably originally an insult based on the obscurity of Yeshua’s hometown (cf. John 1:46). In time, Jewish followers of Yeshua adopted the term for themselves. But followers of Yeshua were also called “Christians” (Acts 11:26; 26:28). Peter seems to adopt the term “Christian” to identify his readers in 1 Peter 4:16.

@ 119 ministries, Peter was was not the Apostle to the Gentiles and did not write this letter to Gentiles. In Verse 1 he tells us he is writing his letters to the Israelites who have been scattered.

The Israelites that were scattered are the gentiles. They were the upper 10 tribes that were divorced. They assimilated into the nations and became known as the lost sheep. Otherwise he would've said the Jews that are scattered. The house of Israel has always been the upper 10 tribes.

@@fivebooks8498 exactly correct. This is not difficult, read the bible as one story to the adam descended from Jacob. The contracts and promises to Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as confirmed by Moses and the prophets are the bedrock of the gospel/good-news of the coming kingdom. The NT is not a different story, it is an exposition of the renewed covenant, bringing back the divorced 10 tribes.

@Desire Of All Nations, Stop the lies. Dispersed is a synonym of the word SCATTERED. The word "Scattered" is used numerous times in the bible and is only associated with the Israelites. If you disagree show me one verse in the entire bible that uses the word scattered to describe a nation of people other than the Israelites.

@@attainingknowledgeoftruth8348 I have no idea what they looked like. The house of Israel encompassed 10 tribes each of which may have looked a little different. Some may have passed for what we consider Caucasian but maybe not. I've read the tribe of Dan ended up in the Nordic areas and were the vikings. Native American Indians most likely were a tribe since they found Hebrew writings in caves they occupied. Some ended up in Africa. Each tribe was probably very diverse from the others. All we know is they assimilated into the nations and became known as the lost sheep of Israel.

Peter was sent to preach to the lost tribes of Israel, hence the term "exiles". They were also "ignorant" because they had stopped worshipping God centuries before, inhereting lies from their fathers.

Greetings brothers and sisters. In the last year or two, i've been led to study the Torah and put it next to the law of man found in Blacks legal dictonary. This has led me to some earthshaking revelations. To start i would ask you to look up the def. of, '' person, people, human being, '' found in blacks. ( for those unwilling, i'll give a loose interpritation) a creature physically appearing as man, but lacking the ethical, moral, and monastic vows exibited by man or men of Yah(God). Wicked sinners, monsters one and all. Therefore must be governed and not entitled to rights. " Nimrod was a hunter of mens rights after all. " If you are not picking up what's being said. We will use our high priests words and experiance to further illustrate. When Yashua was arrainged by Pilot, he asked, '' Are you the king of the jews? " He answered, '' My fathers kingdom is not of this kosmos. " Kosmos in the greek means constitutional government, body politic. Why this is important is as follows. In order to receive the benefits of babylon/ egypt/ rome. An alludeal freeman must give up the title/ right/ responcabilities of man. For the ficton of person, people, human being, where the state becomes your god. After Yashua explained this, Pilot washed his hands of the case. " Because Yashua didn't willingly take the mark of the beasst system. Pilot had no authority to judge him under Roman law. A jury of his peirs condembed him to death, his own people, not Pilot. " '' The reason he was unlawfully put to death, was he was attacking both the government of the court jews, '' bankers historicaly to the germanic aristocracy, '' and the beast system. Niether could legally take his life, but if they did not, nobody would be arround to feed the beast. More and more were flocking to him. The same is true today. If you study our US constitution and law, these truths will be evident. Define who is the people in, '' we the people. " According to blacks they are the ellect to reprisent the many. I.E. Congress. And since people are a legal fiction, the constitution is granting rights to the government, not the governed. Look up the concept of parent patri in blacks, then look at your reality. Do they match up? Or is your reality that of alludeal freeman? All of your, '' rights, '' require a lisence a permit a fee and or tax to be valid. And can still be revoked. By another man. Any system that follows these concepts is a false god. A president, congress, judges are all legally gods. IE the ascention of George Washington depicted in the whitehouse illustrates this well. So the USA, Israel, UK, CHINA ect ect ect are all beast systems. They are ALL Nimrod, hunting your Yah given freedom and responcability, for slavery and false security. I urge you all to study the law of the US and look at the Torah with a legal context. Brother Gregory from His Holy Church has written many books that articulate this way better than i. They are free to download, and after hearing the truth. All will become evident. Peace

I never knew some people believe 1 Peter wasn't written by Peter. This is disturbing because you really did not make the case at all that it was written by Peter. Based on what you presented here I'm leaning towards it not being written by Peter. I'll have to investigate this further to know for sure.
