"Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble." Psalm 119:165 Oh, that those who claim Christ would believe this! It is a blessing, not a curse.

... and what about what Peter and the Apostles say in Acts 15...? "5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. 6And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. 7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. 12Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. 13And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: 14Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. 18Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. The Letter to the Gentile Believers 22Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren: 23And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia: 24Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: 25It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth. 28For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well." - Acts 15:5-29

Every new believer would have learned about Torah right after coming to faith in Yeshua. It would have been milk for them. When you don’t start with Yeshua (born again) and then don’t get milk to feed you… you will choke. Amazing how awesome it is not to choke anymore. Once you’ve learned Torah… then a person is ready to move into even deeper things! These teachings are very important, because we need to unlearn the lies, but this isn’t even milk- once a person recognizes that Torah has not been abolished then you get the milk.

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet [Exodus 20:17].” 8 But sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead. 9 I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin came to life, and I died; 10 and this commandment, which was to result in life, proved to result in death for me; 11 for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it, killed me. 12 So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good. 13 Therefore did that which is good become a cause of death for me? Far from it! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin by bringing about my death through that which is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful [Romans 5:20]. Are you talking about keeping the whole law? Or the 10 commandments?
@119Ministries
@119Ministries 3 күн бұрын
Shalom, Thank you for reaching out with your question! To address your inquiry about whether we are to keep the whole law or just the Ten Commandments, let’s take a closer look at Scripture. The Torah, which includes the Ten Commandments as well as the broader instructions given through Moses, is often referred to as "the whole law." Yeshua (Jesus) taught that He did not come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets but to fulfill them (Matthew 5:17-19). In that same passage, He affirmed the ongoing relevance of every commandment, even the "least." The Ten Commandments are foundational to the Torah, summarizing God’s expectations for loving Him and others. However, they are not the entirety of God's instructions. For example, the commandments regarding Sabbath observance (one of the Ten) are expanded upon in the broader Torah, such as how to celebrate the appointed times like Passover and how to rest during the Sabbath year. Additionally, the Torah contains instructions for specific circumstances, such as dietary laws (Leviticus 11), moral behavior, and care for others (e.g., Leviticus 19:9-18). Yeshua exemplified perfect obedience to the whole Torah, and as His disciples, we aim to walk as He walked (1 John 2:6), understanding that not all commandments apply universally. For example, some laws were specific to the Levitical priesthood, others to agriculture in the land of Israel. The core message is this: God’s Word is a guide for righteous living. Observing His commandments is not about legalism but about loving obedience and aligning our lives with His will. We pray this helps clarify your question. Please let us know if you have more! Shalom and blessings, The 119 Ministries Team

I read through all of Paul and he never once said that we are not to be keeping the law he talks about the law a lot and he denotes the fact that we are not under the law in other words it is not what saves us or what we need to aim at to be saved we're not under that any longer but he tells us that he loves the law and he wishes only to keep it..... but I know for a fact he is not only sent by Our Father in heaven and Yeshua himself to teach us because especially because people want to misinterpret it and it's susceptible to be misinterpreted and the reason that shows me that God fully intended on using Paul to teach us is because God and His law itself is misinterpreted all the time look at what the mainstream Christian Church is doing they're saying faith in Yeshua is all you need to have you don't need to have the law which is absolutely not what scripture says but they are like they do to Paul's writings misinterpreting what God has offered us yes he has offered us a situation that because Yeshua paid for everything if we do sin there is forgiveness for us so for those of us who are so grateful for that we want nothing more than to obey him but for those who want to abuse that they want nothing more than to keep on sinning and know that there's forgiveness still just like they were taking Paul's letters and reading into them and misinterpreting them on purpose yes they're going to be those of us like us who read it and go know this is really what it says and yes it's a little confusing but at the same time this is what it says and I want to do that whereas other people like oh well it's really confusing and I'm interpreting it to say this so that's what it really means because they want it to mean that they want it to mean that the law is done away with and they don't have to obey it anymore but it's the very attribute that Paul's letters are just as easily misinterpreted as God and what he offers us that proved me Paul is definitely sent by God to teach us.

Obedience is NOT the root of our salvation, but it is the fruit. We are commanded to walk as Yeshua/Jesus walked....He walked out the Torah Perfectly. 1 John 2:3. "...we know Him IF we keep His Commandments. He who says he knows Him, and does NOT keep His Commandments is a LIAR, and the Truth is not in him." Mal 3:6. "For I am the Lord. I DO NOT CHANGE." Romans 3:31. "Do we make void the Torah (His Loving Instructions to us, if we're grafted into the True Vine) through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish (uphold) it." 1 Cor. 7:19. "Circumcision is nothing, and umcorcumcision is nothing, but keeping the Commandments of God is what matters."

If you have to be commanded to keep anything then are you really doing it by heart. Was the law written in your heart or was in written in stone.

@@TruthSeeker-vq5tk The Law was the foundation of God's Kingdom before sin in the garden of Eden. The law had to be written on stone as the Israelites were in bondage to sin and they needed to see the law since they didn't have it in their hearts. All through Moses' writings God had instructed His people to have it between their eyelets or forehead (their mind) but His desire was for them to have it in their hearts. So many today see God's law as a negative and not a law of love. They don't want to keep "that old law".

Here's what I know to be true because the Word says so. God, the Father told all of us, "Obey Me and live." All the prophets confirmed that way of salvation. Because sin entered, disobedience required a blood sacrifice but the sin problem still remained. When God in the flesh came upon the earth and shed His blood, that sin problem was defeated. We are freed from the disobedient slaves to sin that we once were. We are now free to obey God's instructions just as He claimed we must do. The Son confirmed. "If you want to enter life, keep the commandments." "I know that His command leads to eternal life." "Repent (stop sinning-breaking God's law) or likewise perish." "Blessed are they that do the commands that they may have right to the tree of life." "Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Did we catch all that? Man LIVES by obeying the words that came from God's own mouth; His instructions (Torah). Every writer throughout the Bible confirms the way to salvation is obeying God. Then we have Paul. One side of Paul says, "It is those who obey the law who are counted as righteous." "I believe everything written in the law and the prophets." "Keeping God's commands is what counts." "The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law nor can it do so." "By faith do we nullify the law? No, we uphold it." Great! Paul agrees with the Father, the Son and all the prophets who wrote this same prescription for eternal life. Yippee! Then we have other statements that have caused 99.9% of people to abandon the words of the Father, abandon the words of the Son, ignore the words of the prophets and turn a blind eye to the words of Paul I just cited. The bring up other critical and defamatory words he spoke about a "law" that does not bring life but a curse instead. And you know what happens? They start worshipping Paul declaring his new theology as speaking of God's law that should be abandoned as evil. Most of you will scream "not of works lest any man should boast." Well have you even read the next sentence to the Ephesians in order to understand which works and therefore which law Paul is talking about? Obviously not. The works that are boasted about are pharisaical works or man-made rules that were "added" to God's commands. That (oral) law brings a curse, not God's law. Here is proof. God's law is perfect and converts the soul. It's freedom. It's light. It's truth. It's eternal. (Ps 119, James 1&2) And it 's requirement to obey it or we will perish! (2Pet 3:15-17). No one ever denigrated it or would have done so; certainly not Paul who was carefully examined to be teaching Torah, believing everything written in Torah, obeying Torah and proving it to everyone. The "law" that was usurping Torah, also called "traditions" or "mere human rules" does indeed bring a curse because man is no longer following God, they have made their theology around what men are saying to do instead. Gal 3 shows it quite clearly. Lower case "law" brings a curse because upper case "Book of the Law" says so. What does Torah say about following another law (doctrine of man)? It says the one teaching it should be stoned to death and the one following it is being tested. Tested for who they are going to follow. (Deut 13) Another example of this is the Eph 2 statement. Verse 9 says "by faith, not of works, so that no man can boast." Who boasts? Who in the book of Daniel boasts that they are equal to God and can make up their own rules getting others to follow? Verse 10 is clear that God's works (obedience to God's commands) is a requirement. We know this because the Savior demanded that these same people; church of Ephesus, return to their first love and DO THE WORKS COMMANDED or they would not be saved. Their lamp stand would be snuffed out. And dare I even mention that a "lawless' doctrine that has rid the prescription for salvation from having to obey the commands of God, will definitely be followed by those who are ANTIChrist. Those people will also be rejected. "Depart from Me, I never knew you, you worker of lawlessness." I could go all day but you've just read a cliff notes version of the false teaching so prevalent in churchianity today. Even the very format of these organizations is HATED by God (nicolaitan system) and He demands it be repented of. But who bothers to listen? Who bothers to study a little deeper to understand? Who bothers to lay down the following of man-made doctrines that add to or subtract from the Word that proceeded from the mouth of God (Torah)? Who remains loyal to the God of the universe who came down to speak? Almost no one. That is why those who will be saved, will also be FEW in number! Here's your marching orders straight from the paul you think, iS prescribing a new way to salvation. (paraphrased) "Some of you say you follow me but was I crucified for you? Were you baptized in my name? NO! FOLLOW CHRIST!" Well Christ said you had better not break even the least law; not even the jots or tittles.

Do you wear fringe on your clothes? Are your clothes of one fabric? Do you shave? Do you wear your hair in that certain way? What are your eating habits? This all part of the law.

@@rodjohnon4950 Oh ye of little knowledge and less understanding......(yet attempting to dismiss the very words of our Creator) I'll take your subjects one at a time: The command is to make tassels and attach to the four corners of your "beged." That Hebrew word is the same word used for "mantle" or "covering." It is the article of clothing that was used to cover the person at night and given in a pledge to be returned before nightfall. The tassels (with blue thread) are to be a reminder of God's law/commandments and the reminder is for the wearer, not for others. Yes, I have a covering with tassels attached that reminds me of Torah commands. There is no command about not mixing fabrics except wool and linen. Wool is the least flammable fabric and linen is highly flammable. They have different atomic charges associated with each. I have no idea why we are not to mix those two but of course, I don't do it because Yah said not to.. I don't wear wool typically at all but I certainly own nothing where wool is mixed with linen. Wear my hair a certain way? Shave? What are you talking about? Are you attempting to refer to the forbiddance of shaving the sides of our head as a participant in a pagan mourning ritual? If you are, you realize, of course, that shaving the sides of the head for other reasons is allowed, right? It's even commanded to shave the head for other reasons in Torah. Have you ever bothered to read Torah? Eating habits? Now what? Do you mean the forbiddance of eating animals that are not considered "food"? Of course I don't eat them. No one should for health reasons anyway. They are all unable to get rid of the toxins they themselves ingest. Don't you think Yah knows this? Don't you think He has our best interest (health) in His mind when He commands us? Isaiah 66 tells us what will happen to people who disregard the food laws and it's not pretty. It's not pretty because people disregard the words of the One who made them!

@Keturah53 Really..? You go go to Jerusalem to keep Pesach? What's the process like of selecting the animal and slaughtering it on the 14th of Aviv? Messy? How fun is it to eat in haste, standing with your staff in hand?

Scripture or scriptures is actually used 52 times in the New Testament. This is once per week. Only use the KJB. It is the only exact word of God.

KJV used Iesus for the 1st edition then changed it to Jesus for the 2nd. That alone debunks this ridiculous claim the KJV is perfect.

Many Biblical scholars believe Peter did not write 2 Peter. It was written 200 years after Peter’s death and therefore can’t be trusted. There’s some odd things written in 2 Peter. It seems to defend the validity of Paul. At that time the only writings considered to be scripture were the Torah and prophets and maybe Enoch and a few other apocryphal books. There’s no way Peter would call some letters Paul wrote scripture. 2 Peter also talks about hell in the same way as the pagan Greek mythology concept of hell with people going to some fiery underworld and burning forever. This is not a biblical concept but does seem to be in 2 Peter. I think it is likely 2 Peter was written by someone who was a follower of Paul instead of Christ much like main stream Christianity today.

2 Pet was “added.” Peter did not write the book. Paul’s conversion is suspect! Y’shua never said that He would come personally until every eye sees Him. He also warned that if “someone says I am in the wilderness, not to go out,” and Paul said it was Jesus Himself that was speaking to him on the road to Damascus. Paul was teaching his own gospel. Where Paul says that a woman should cover her hair when praying, CANNOT be found in the Torah. This is Talmud-type requirements. Paul was not who he says he was, and the good thing is, nobody has to study Paul’s letters to have a walk with YHWH. Y’shua is the Messiah, but the church’ savior is Paul. Shabbat Shalom
