Stop private prisons and stop incarcerating people for BS charges like marijuana.
@philmikehunt96649 ай бұрын
Private prisons turn humans into commodities. It is the lowest form of capitalism! But people are not going to prison today for marijuana possession. These are violent criminals, many repeat offenders.

Females COs should stick with female inmates. Male COs should handle men. Frankly, male or female, they need to have two guards at all times.

Pay more, somebody will work the job. It’s so dangerous, it doesn’t pay enough. People keep getting persuaded by the inmates to transport contraband.
@derrickjohnson93139 ай бұрын
Having been incarcerated for almost 14 years, I can tell you that the lure of the money to be made bringing in contraband is too great a lure for these underpaid CO's.

Pay more simple. Who wants to work in a dangerous setting for 40k? Cost of living went up, and no one wants to be law enforcement anymore. Common sense

What is insane to me is that MANY of these inmates have not even been to court, or found guilty of a crime, on top of this many of these inmates fought for our freedom and are being treated worse than POWs.

Males guard males and females guard females with 2 officers together at all times. Keep the inmates locked in their cells with only 2 from the same cell allowed out at any time. Pay the COs more. Give them bonuses when hired and yearly raises.

That's shocking. My best friend did almost 4yrs between Jackson and Rogers and he never once had a problem and said it was like a big party at all times. He's a skinny lil white guy so I feel if anyone would've had issues being bullied, extorted etc then it would've been someone like him. Makes me wonder if these people who were killed were into drugs, gambling debts, gangs or something like that.

How long ago was this? Because Georgia Prisons are hell on earth even if you’re a “Civilian” on a simple battery charge or Drug charge. I thought California Prisons were the worst in the Nation until I saw the Georgia Department of Corrections

It’s crazy how these jobs that require you to put your life on the line rather it’s law enforcement, security, or military put you on a Buger King pay rate but you can take my tax dollars and build million dollar buildings, create weapons of mass destruction, and fund judges and congress who are making these prisons and jails over crowded in the first smh. Start paying all of these individuals more money, give them a good retirement, good benefits, and I guarantee you’ll have individuals signing up, I mean you have money for everything else that is not a real concern.
