Exactly. Saving that officer's life should be taken into consideration with the judge when it comes to taking time off their sentences. Everyone should get their sentences reduced. I've never been in prison I did County time but I can tell you that treating us like human beings go a long way when the majority of the people in power and treat us like animals when somebody sees a glimpse and humanity and US convicts inmates whatever you want to call us it can go a long way we are all people we are awesome Buddies son or daughter but most importantly you could be a brother or sister from another mother I have a lot of those I'm a people person and I would go out of my way to save somebody that was in need no matter who they are because I am a human being and I have empathy I am not a monster I hope the right people read this a deputy one of many county jails around the country please take the time out of your busy schedule or treat the inmates like people I'm not saying we're all perfect some are career criminals but a lot of us just made one mistake and we're paying for it don't make it worse than us we're already away from our families

Things like this happens more often people just don't hear about it on the news and the guys are just obviously great men no matter how a deputy treats them some people that were literally about to be arrested and seen a deputy get hit by a car and didn't think about escaping they thought about helping.

​@@elouise5593prison isn't designed to rehab anyone stop believing this crap, it takes that person's own strength to get through that horrific system and change from within which is the hardest thing to do, also not all inmates are monsters too many people think all prisoners deserve to be treated inhumane worst than an animal and starved or executed not giving a damn about knowing them as a human being and knowing what their there for, plenty of people serving time aren't killers, rapist, pedophiles and serial killer sometimes its something we would consider minor their serving time for plenty of people got life imprisonment for weed while pedophiles and child abusers that kill kids get a slap on the wrist, this why many states are fighting against legalizing marijuana they wanna keeo those people in there and keep targeting people for marijuana and its mostly black people that are targeted for marijuana the racist bs stereotypes goes back to Jim crow saying weed makes black men criminal and horny and gives them a pinchenct to be drawn to commit crimes when that's beem disproven by science and psychology plus many other factors its sickening, i know plenty of white men that smoke hella weed yet they will never stereotype them. This system is not broken this exactly how it was designed to create recidivism if they actually rehabilitate people that means less prisons coming back into a revolving door this why they struggle on the outside after so many years becoming institutionalized plus the laws that block them from housing and job's is ridiculous, yet pedophiles can get secretly moved into a community where there's a playground and school they put more effort into trying to rehab pedophiles as if that actually works. Its sickening.

And you just so happened to get caught, a lot of people seem to skate through life doing horrible things a lot of the time and don’t get caught. The church my son goes to in Phoenix, is mostly x-prisoners including the pastors. And they are living I very productive life, no monsters there. Just kind and loving human beings.

I was a Forman for a State prison & had my own crew. They worked hard, complained once in a while, but when something serious comes up these guys are still human, have a heart & want to go home. Good job to the prisons that helped to save this officer’s life. Tells a lot about the officer as well👏👏👏👍🏼😊

I dont think a sentence reduction makes sense. I would be outraged if i was also behaved and didn't get a sentence reduction because i didnt happen to have a chance to do something bad. Do the crime, do the time. Some extra outside, phone, commissary or such as a reward makes more sense.

This is why these men have priveledges of details outside of the prison & with only 1 guard to 6 uncuffed men. Because they earned it with good behaviours, trust, honesty. Not everyone in prison has done a heinous crime. Not everyone in prison is a repeat offender. Not everyone in prison doesn't learn and seek forgiveness. All they need is a chance. ❤

He was hired to watch them and they were appointed by God, unknowingly to them, to watch him for such a time as this! What a winning team! Proof that not everyone who finds themselves in jail, are bad people.. Life circumstances, split second decisions and/or things out of their control could be the reason they are there. That doesn't mean they're bad people, or in some situations, that they deserve to be there. They all saw the officer as a fellow human in need and helped him.. Thats beautiful to hear.

It'd be hard to argue the justification behind Not giving each of these men the earliest possible release. After this kind of showing of care and regard for the public, at that particular point & given that particular opportunity - each of these men proved individually that they are not the risk to society that they've been deemed to be held for. I dont care their charges, if any single one of them were a bad person, they would've taken advantage of that opportunity. The fact that nobody did, speaks volumes.
