I was getting mad that Toka wasn't being more offensive as this fight was progressing. Toka seemed to have enough skill to make things really difficult on Shakur. If a fighter wants to beat Shakur then they have to make Shakur respect them from the opening bell, and then mix in a decent amount of body shots while Shakur isn't ready for them. That is what Shakur does all the time.

Tim Bradley said he never got "beat up like this"... hahaha ... No he didn't. HE GOT WORSE.. Maybe he thinks we forgot about his war with Ruslan Provodnikov. But it was one of those fights where you could see the winner got beat up too. i remember Bradley getting beat around the ring, and looking like he was out on his feet. Getting clocked and staying in a daze (in the 1st, 6st, and especially the last 12th Round). & Yes, Tim showed a lot of heart.. But the punishment he endured in that fight was scary.. it looked like the kind of bludgeoning that leaves lasting damage .. The shots Tim got rocked with were way worse then what Shakur Stevenson did here.

The commentators blew things out of proportion, Shakur Stevenson's performance was not impressive at all. Toka Khan was a more experienced fighter, I think Shakur needed a decisive knock out. I don't even know why they matched him with a guy with 32 fights on record, that amount of experience could have easily overwhelmed Shakur Stevenson. It makes no difference that he's an Olympian, he has good defense and good combinations but he didn't prove he was top level with this performance , he needs more experience and careful management to develop into a better fighter.
