He told her he was hesitant to do so bc he didn’t want the mother to change their mind & take his kids away from him in the end. He relented & she dud exactly what he feared. 😢

Sam did not take Danny away from Jason.When they separated in 2020 Jason was not limited in being with his son.Sam actually had to ask Jason to spend more time with Danny and Scout.During 2021 before Jason went missing he was busy trying to run the organization, support Carly,and bring down Cyrus.Jason had no time for his children;he was on the run with Britt for 2 months,then he was back and declared his love for Carly for 2 decades, married Carly,next he went to Greece to help Britt find her mother. Then in Nov.2021 he was presumed dead.. Now in 2024 the writers have been working overtime with this destructive character rewrite of Sam. Now they have her not wanting Danny to see his father.That makes no sense whatsoever. The writers need Sam to start investigating what has been going on leading to Jason's absence for almost 3 years, before forbidding him from seeing his son.That would make for a good storyline.Let's face it,Sam needs a storyline. Writers make it happen.!! 4/19/2004.

Interesting comment that Courtney made before entering the elevator, she said to Jason that Sam made him happy and Jason said: "yeah". Funny thing. That is all he ever wanted but never expected. But since he fell for Sam it's the only thing that matter to him the way she makes him feel. Blessed be!

I've watched this episode like a thousand times and this is the 1st time I've noticed when Courtney says something about them (JaSam) being together, Jason says, "we're not REALLY together". Any other time Courtney brought them up, he'd say, " No, we're not together. " Then, he promptly goes stupid and ruins it!!!!

I get why jason was hesitant in being with sam because all his other past lovers say they accept him and didnt what to change him but deep down they did. Jason told Sam that the reason for not pursuing what he was feeling for her was because of what he did for a living. He said that in every relationship he had before it has always been a problem and that he didn't want that for her. Jason went on to explain to Sam how what he does and who he is has affected his relationships in the past. But Sam was not having any of that. She told him that for her none of that was a problem. But Jason didn't believe her because of course his previous experiences didn't help. For Jason to believe that Sam had no problem with who he was and what he did was going to take a little time and a little convincing. However, the truth is that at this point, Jason was already in love with Sam but he was just wrestling to do what he thought was right for both of them. He tried to explain to her that he wanted her to stay because he liked having her there with him. He said that he even liked talking to her and listening to her. Which by the way was huge for Jason to admit. Jason said that he knew she accepted him but the problem was that he could never put her first and that she deserved better than that. Although he acknowledged that he cared for her and that what was happening it was his fault and not her's. Jason didn't want to hurt Sam the way it happened with other people in his previous relationships. Even if it meant Jason breaking his own heart in the process. But little did he know that besides being beautiful Sam was truly special and unique. Not only Sam was extremely fierce, strong, capable reliable trustworthy, loyal, kind, nonjudgmental, supportive, understanding that could hold her own in a gun fight. She also liked to live dangerously and she knew all about being an outlaw because that's who she was. So, she fit perfectly in Jason's lifestyle because she has been part of it her entire life thanks to her adoptive father. For, Sam instead of being a liability for Jason like his other relationships including Carly, to the contrary, Sam is an amazing asset. Something Jason never saw coming and never expected. That's why he always felt comfortable and at ease with Sam. Talking to Sam always felt familiar to Jason. It was easy for him to open up to her. That only happens when two kindred spirits recognized one another just like it happened with Jason and Sam. From the very beginning it was easy for them to talk honestly and openly. However, the main problem Jason had once he fell in love with Sam was that he did he was never able to let go of her no matter the circumstances. He always had to do whatever he needed to do to remain in Sam's orbit. It doesn't matter if that meant assisting her, rescuing her, asking for her help or keeping an eye on her without her knowledge. The bottom line is that Jason always found a reason to stay around Sam because when it mattered she was the person he wanted next to him. Blessed be!
