It took 2 years to finally finish this song, and this was probably how long it took me to move on and forget about the guy i wrote this for haha! I actually wrote this at exactly 12:51 am, hence the title. The lyrics reflect pretty much how I was feeling at that time and somehow every now and then I'd still find myself feeling this way - sad!
Yeah, perhaps the mood is a bit emo but my sister and I find it the most heartfelt of all the songs we sung and we dedicate this especially for all the girls out there for the upcoming Valentine's day!

"12 years ago" well the first time I heard this was on national television (specifically MYX) and my mind was blown, and I could say this song also inspired me to be a musician and a songwriter and write songs on my former band "TiDE" (although we just disbanded a few years ago). This is one of the "epic bittersweet" songs I've listened to back in the day when the Beatles and Elvis Presley still wasn't introduced to me, and I LOVE THIS SONG with all my heart. The simple but lush-sounding orchestral arrangement (which made a huge impact on the song), the acoustic guitars that had that melancholic feeling, the vocals which were heartfelt. This song aged like fine wine. It sounded as fantastic as it was released 12 years ago. Thanks, Krissy and Erika for this memorable song. Every time I listen to this (or watch this MV) it brought nostalgia... It's been 8 years... and now the year is ending, but I still find myself replaying this song over and over again. I could say that I've moved on, but I guess in this lifetime, we always have that "one great love"--- so great we can't just completely forget how great it was. And the truth is we never really moved on from the ones we've genuinely loved. We just get used to not feeling their presence. And each day, what keeps us moving is how we deal with their absence... Until we come to a point where we're done hurting. It's not excruciating anymore yet it's also not a phase where we're completely healed. And it's the sad thing about heartbreaks-we can fix it, but it wouldn't be the same heart before it got broken... Nothing ever goes back to how it was. Just almost. I love the lyrics of this song, and I always listen to this every night before 12:51 or exactly 12:51. ‘Coz I know there are no people around and all of them are already asleep but me, isn’t. Because thinking of him. And now, I’m glad because I moved on already. And this song reminds me always of the nights I cried, those nights I’m weak.
