What is Redux?
Redux is an open-source JavaScript library for managing and centralising application state. Although Redux and React are commonly used together, they are independent of each other.
React Redux is the official Redux UI binding library for React. If you are using Redux and React together, you should also use React Redux to bind these two libraries.

Short answer is both. Coming up next is a MERN real life project I'd been working on. Then I will show how it's converted into nextJS, src and JavaScript, before deploying to Vercel. I think this'll be a really good way to ease into how NextJS works. Then, for a proper NextJS series, I'll get into NextJS app mode with TypeScript.
