No fancey paint jobs - easy to fix paint repairs - AC WENT OUT FEW TIMES, NO BIG DEAL WITH WHITE -easy to match …. Simple simple … easy to sell a plain paint .. I think of plain as Clean . Well those are thoughts of a 66 year old car nut that had a large family AND hobby trucks on a budget. ( though have to admit those 3rd n fourth ( vehicle) hobby trucks were used as my kids transportation … just ‘clean’ shortbed regular cab Chevys ) even as girls they were n a state of awareness with these vehicles . Maintenance was everybody’s responsibility. SHARED BY ALL DRIVERS . One daughter wrote an English paper on vehicle maint . Retirement truck: all stock o3 v8 silverado shorty reg cab 30, 000 miles factory 17 wheels with mud flaps mint condition . I know - screams old man look … doesn’t attract attention - untill it does - as you look closer you realize you are looking at a origional ‘newish’ car. I just enjoy a cruise in or two a year , barely have time with grands and other activities - busier now than when I was working. I’m glad I don’t have to work on it cause I don’t have time..( n your joints aren’t getting younger). And yeah - I just maintain our 3 vehicles ,,, not building .. ( plus maintain our 38 year old honey moon cottage / home … ( got the 3 girls out of college dept free) … help the kids when we visit often . All of a sudden another year is gone…
