A few years ago I walked the last 200km camino france Sarria to Santiago. Loved the experience and I hope I can get back soon and walk the first 2 weeks of Csmino Frances. Just FYI: you were NEVER allowed to cross this railway bridge. Pilgrims often did it illegaly to "cut short" the stage. The Camino trail was always pointing along the river to the crossing on the road, and then back along the river. As a result you would circle around the river for a few km just to get on the other side of this railway bridge.

Amazing, Northern Spain in the area around Santillana was already inhabited a 130.000 years ago. The museum showed only replicas of the original cave and wall paintings.

I did my first camino, the frances, in 2017 after the company I worked for closed. for the first time in 20 years I had time to go on a long distance hike. after that I did the via Francigena which was monumental compared to the caminos in Spain. last year I did the Portuguese, followed by del Norte and then Ingles. that's where I stand right now.

Once the Camino calls you have to scratch that itch. I started thinking about in 2009 and decided to just go, since then I’ve done 5 Caminos and plan to head back in 2022 (all the way from Australia)

Grato pela dica sobre as fontes de água na Espanha e o uso do camelbak. Uma dúvida: aquela pequena ponte sobre um rio logo no início da etapa, que dá acesso ao antigo caminho, está localizada aonde? após Arce ou após Mogro? Pode mandar a localização?

Mistake....Last 100km of Camino from Sarria not 200km...

DO NOT WALK ACROSS THAT BRIDGE. ITS ILLEGAL - BAD ADVISE MATE. Take the light rail (from Boo de P to Mogro), it is one stop, approx 500m, and continue your walk. The ride is free. No where to buy tickets and no one on that light rail to collect the tickets.
