Freddie was such a funny man. We loved watching him on the box. There is nobody these days who can do the spontaneous comedy he did. Comedy isn't comedy anymore!! Too much P.C., now! This man was treated so badly later in his life by the police and the media. Nobody apologised. All his friends abandoned him when was in need of help. It was a tragedy and the whole YewTree thing destroyed him. Nobody should be deprived of their human rights. He was made to feel like a criminal when he hadn't done anything wrong!! There was no evidence to back up the accusation!! Isn't the law supposed to be just ? You are innocent until proven guilty? What kind of world are we living in?? A persons reputation and whole life can be destroyed by an accusation that has no truth in it. Poor Freddie was robbed of his rights !! t He was not a well man. He was suffering from lung problems and back in 2010 he had suffered a massive heart attack and had to have a quadruple bypass. So he wasn't well physically and this just ruined tge rest of his life.

So quick, zany and you never knew what was going to happen next as Freddie was pure spontaneous in his shows, interviews and i would imagine he be still making us all laugh today if he was not take so early in life. Rest in Peace Freddie and hope you have a giggle at the state of the world right now.

From a much greater time pre woke bs, when comedy WAS comedy, and no one was scared of upsetting any snowflakes. Even the likes of Des were brilliant, had great guests on the shows, and like someone already said there was genuine chemistry there between Freddie and Des, it cracks me up just seeiing Des cracking up....fantastic!! Who have we got nowadays presenter wise? The likes of Jonathan frikkin Ross who I can't stand, and yet he's everywhere, not only on his own shows, but always on those god awful panel shows, or on those Ch5 shows about 100 best moments in the 80's or some similar crap, Who else? Graham bloody Norton, can't stick him either! Give me the old comedians and presenters any time over the moden overpaid shower we have now!!

In 2012 I watched a documentary about Freddie Starr from his ex-wife and his daughter and what a horrible despicable little man that he was. He wasn't the household name or the nice person and I remember his ex-wife and his daughter said that they lived in fear of him as you never knew what mood he was in when he came through the door. He wasn't the pleasant lovable comedian household name that I grew up with he was an absolute AH of a man who both physically and mentally abused his wife and daughter that was the Freddie Starr he was the despicable man that he was he wasn't a nice man.
