Freezer (like the soon upcoming Arcadia Girl) is one of those songs that when it plays once, I have to hear it immediately again. One thing to remember is that Thrill was b-side to Ai to Jōnetsu no Matador so it can be assumed that most, if not all. Of this album was written after Thrill - like the girls stated “we want more of this” to their songwriters. No bass solo, but you’re right... it goes more places. 1. Freezer 2. Thrill 3. Forward 4. Bye My Tears 5. Summer Drive 6. Be OK 7. Key 8. Ai to Jōnetsu no Matador 9. Yoake Mae 10. EverGreen 11. Knockin on your heart 12. Big Dad

If this song would have had a video it would have been as big as Thrill !!!!! It is the most OVERLOOKED and underrated Band Maid song. It easy fits in my BM top 5. There is another song thats just like Freezer that people haven't heard......Its AWKWARD !!!!! There is a live video of it and it's incredible .

This is one of my absolute faves. It's got a great bass and guitar back and forth, a kill riff, the vocal trade offs in a Run-DMC/Beastie Boys-style during the chorus, and that guitar solo beats Tom Morello at his own game. And there's nothing else quite like it in their catalogue. It has to be at the top of this early list.

Totally get your ranking reasons, thrill is the doorway that leads to the Band-Maid we know and love, but I do think Freezer is the proof that it could sustain. The more you listen to it the more it'll grow and I won't be surprised that in a week you'll just start randomly humming the Freezer chorus. Rankings are so hard for Band-Maid because the more you listen to songs the more they move around.

Never say we didn't warn you! 😂 Freezer is a f'n awesome song, but I can totally understand your reasoning for putting it behind Thrill, and I would probably also rank it that way for similar reasons. :) Okay, I'll just put it bluntly. If there's one tiny little thing I wish about this band, it's that the ladies would pause for a moment, just every now and then, and instead of just looking forward, at least for a song here and there, would look backwards. Can't disagree. Freezer is an absolutely insane rocker and in some ways has better instrumentals and vocals; but Thrill has the melodic hooks that get lodged slightly deeper in my brain.

Thrill was the first song I heard from Band Maid, and of course became a fan. But I was blown away the first time I heard Freezer. For me, Freezer edges out Thrill just a little. Close for me too though.

If the ranking is on music alone- Freezer, just. I do suggest that you are swayed by Thrill's importance to the band, which it is- very. So, what other song is more important to the band than Thrill. I don't know where you can go with this dilemma. For me, some of their best songs from the band are tracks with no videos- Corallium etc. Is the live version from Eggman an Official Live Video release ?

I would argue that Alone is the most important song in their catalogue: the first self-written track to get on an album. Thrill begins their signature sound, Alone makes it truly their own.
