Interesting video with advanced expressions, thanks. What I can't relate is why the main motive to use these expressions would be to sound impressive. I would rather like to know the subtle nuances these expressions add to the standard clause, e.g. more polite, more elegant etc.

Hello ! Concerning "provided that", could we just skip the "that" and say "provided the weather is nice...." ? How about "providing (that)"?
