Shafir had a solid first showing. She had a really solid lock there in the beginning and her throws & hits read as hard contact. I'd like to see her again, maybe with a stronger costume and some backstory. Make her like a focused hard hitter hit man type and I think you could go places.

Angelico was selling that left leg for a bit; I wish Khash had the time to work that leg or chop it, yet I feel like they were working a pretty neutral match without either one defining a baby face/heel role. Such a a slow burn match that had my attention… I hope to see more of these two telling stories in the ring.

Joshi wrestling feels like it just relentlessly wavers between "aww, she's so tiny and cute, who could she possibly hurt?" and "HOLY SHIT that looked disgustingly painful and/or badass." I think a lot of people focus on that first part and let their brains turn off, but man once they get going, they get pretty damn wild. Mei Suruga looked pretty damn amazing, and I'm all for her color scheme.

Marina Shafir looked real good vs Statlander. It's interesting that while both Shafir and Conti have excellent martial arts credentials, it's Shafir who really taps into her martial arts training for her wrestling, while Conti uses a lot more rassling in her moveset.

Tay Conti has ALOT of potential. Her only negative drawback that I can see, That a coach should point out. She tries to do alot of the "fancy" moves that some of these guys do and when they are done, They look bad/non-impactful. Other then that (Getting rid of those moves from her moveset), She is ready. As for Shafir. I'm big on her. She's got an interesting backstory to tell as well, Being born in the Soviet Union, etc.

I'm struggling to understand the logic of Sonny (with no back up to interfere) challenging Joey (with plenty of back up who is ready and willing to constantly interfere) to a no DQ match. That's basically asking for a 2 vs 1 handicap match. Steel cage would 'make a lot more sense' (except of course it never stops outside interference in certain other companies *discrete cough*). Hope he can find some back up (introduce someone new for a debut??) because otherwise it's just stupid to the point of insulting the intelligence of the viewer.

This is the spot she should be in, putting on quality matches in the midcard and the under card in the female division. Her time will come eventually next year but it's clearly not now.

Marina Shafir is a GREAT get for AEW's womens division. She was looking good in a independent promotion based out of Atlanta. Think it was Championship Wrestling From Atlanta. I think. But yeah, I think she's a good get. She is legit.

Valentina by far is my favorite AEW used Jobber along with Leila Grey - would be fun to see them team against Nyla Rose and Vickie Guererro and have Nyla squash both and let Vickie for a change get a pin, in this case, a double pin

Marina Shafir vs Statlander stole the show. Marina needed to be signed like 2 weeks ago. Statlander is really strong, but I think Shafir might even have more power than she does. Loved seeing Mei finally getting her first stateside AEW match. Finally got to see her awesome apple mutilation submission hold.
