A few points/guesses. 1. His agent/s, management companies, legal team, and accountants all would have cautioned against family members managing your money. 2. The NFL may have an orientation program that would cover financial management, and I am guessing they would recommend using large independent firms, and avoid having family members manage the money, open a restaurant, invest in some small start up business, etc. 3. Did these investment firms exist before Baker joined the NFL? Or were they set up just to handle his money. I am guessing the later, and that is why they don't have regular financial statements.

Way worse, his dirt ass family had debit cards and shit they copied and we’re slowly spending his money while he let them live with him and paid for everything for them, he got cut, goes to move and his one decent family member says ummm you ain’t got money. I’m a bama fan and loved that dude, he’s never been the same and been in and out of leagues, most recently he signed for 100k to play for the Birmingham iron, that’s Pennie’s for football. That league made it like half a season or 1.5 and he lost that job.

I can’t remember the athlete, but he said he is propositioned a few dozen times a day regarding business ideas, investments, etc. He went on to say something along the lines of - a lot of times guys spend blindly and when retirement is approaching, they realize those checks aren’t coming any longer and will make a decision out of desperation.

With endorsement deals and his $32 million salary over 4 years. Baker should of taken in about $35 million after taxes. (Indorsement deals was around 40 million over that period) What do you think he spent a year???? 3-4 million? (Buying stuff for family (in-laws etc.)and himself) That should leave about 20 million....yea, I would be concerned of about 60% if my savings too, since endorsement deals are going to be few and far between considering the way his Cleveland career ended, it's not like he is Brian Sipe or something that can still indorse stuff in Cleveland.
