When u take the bike for escape don't drive to the car drive in the direction of the standing heli then drive forward and jump of the find the mines that form a triangle and swimming to the skeleton 90% tho car doesn't have enough time to spawn if the car spawns its not big of a deal because the heli can't kill u anymore

Ive never seen this mentioned in any cayo vids. Mistake: equipping thermal or night vision goggles if using the underwater tunnel entrance. this prevents you from using rebreathers which will kill the run, bc they are bound to the same button. at least on xbox.

I also have a tip for preparations for cayo perico. If you are doing weapon mission and you got the Merryweather helicopter mission you can use the missiles in kosatka to destroy helicopter (helicopter will be always on the building)

He is saying, as soon as you see it is going to be the Merriweather mission, go to your guided missile screen and take out the helicopter while it is still sitting on top of the HQ. You would do this without ever leaving the sub and it should fail the mission. Then you can restart by going back to the heist screen that is just a few steps away and hopefully get a better option. I've not done this, but it sounds pretty good. Maybe even quicker than changing lobbies. Thanks @Rokugold, I think I will try this. Seems like a good tip. Though I didn't buy the missiles for my sub and intended to add them later. I still haven't done it because I couldn't really think of a good use for them besides PvP combat(which I don't do, I'm a solo player and pretty much stay in my own private lobby)... Can you help me justify the purchase? Can you think of other times where the cruise missiles were useful outside of PvP?

@@LC337 you could be right. I haven't done his method yet, so I cannot say. Plus, everyone has their own techniques that work best for them. I love hearing them and trying them out for myself. I've learned quite a few things from these videos and the comment threads that have greatly helped me get better at doing things. This video showing him jumping the ramp at the security checkpoint was a game changer. I did it last night and I'm never going back to sneaking through the gate and losing the dirt bike crossing the water shortly after.

Casino prep mission……If the guards are outside penthouse 518 the guy can be found in the main room. If he’s in 512 he’s in the room on the right with a guard. If he’s in 505 he’s in the first room on the left, through the doors and he’s on the right.

Quick tip at 0:55 he says to only kill the guard when hes in the box well if you do that the jug will not the spot the body but when you grab the primary extra guards that will spawn will see that guy so just sneak past him theres a good chance you will get the gate keys from the other 3 guards it took me a while to figure out why i kept getting caught and i hope this helps someone who has the same issue

Quick tip for the kosatka i see people forget about... Especially if youre completeing the weapons loadout from merryweather, after bailing from the avenger. You dont have to fly all the way across the map... You can literally call your sub to the closest shore to you. Its honestly an easy mission. Fast travel to elishan island, fly past the heli in ur sparrow, i use my Raiju to be even faster, and once uve flown to the vinewoods hills area check the map and see what direction the heli is going from its spawn point and itll give u a general path to its destination, continue ahead to the avenger. I take this time to either snipe the enemies or call the karuma n drive around clearing the area til the weapons arrive, snipe the pilot and copilot after it lands, clear the avenger, drop low alt. Parachute to the weapons heli since i plan on bailing, call the sub and dump the npc heli over the sub and parachute to the sub, return my jet, walk in to finish the setup.

the helicopter missions is longer, and the ai in that helicopter CAN crash prompting you to restarting the mission, so its (NOT RECOMMENDED) to do the mission, i have had this happen before.

00:45 guard killed 1) on the jugger route 2) under cam. Actually, if not quickly shoot this cam and then jugger, stealth will be broken. About key and access card: not very often, but sometimes happens that you have to kill all guards except 2nd floor guys to get both. Especially it applies to key.

I also have some tips for preparations on cayo. First when doing a mission with marywhether helicopter you can learn how to find where it is going to go by looking at the map and the river in ls. If heli is going straight with the canal it's probably going to grapeseed, when it's flying a little to the right it's going to the base on the right side of the map and if it's going left then it's flying to sandy shores

If you get the Tequila or cheap primary, swap characters, then delete that new character and you'll always get the madrazo files for $1.1M in normal and 1.2Min hardmode. Another thing if you buy deluxo and unplug before deleting character it will send you to story mode and when you come back could sell deluxo for $3.2M so u get that and a decent primary.

But don't you need to buy the sub for your new character? Deleting the character would make you have to buy the sub again, right? Or are you saying that doing this will give you the initial Perico heist(with the files as primary target) on your main character? Plus, the deluxo thing... It sounds like you're buying it and then selling it for a net loss. I'm very intrigued though, I want to know more

Exactly. It is definitely worth using two characters to run it almost back to back, but don't start with a new character every time. You're just throwing money away, not to mention all the time wasted getting up to the point to even start.

I accidentally stumble upon this. I created the second character to run the clucking bell farm raid for first time bonus. After completing the raid I transfer the money to the bank and deleted the 2nd character. Than went to do the kosatka setup got to see I got the madrazo files.

If you're solo, park the Kosatka by Merriweather. If you get that weapon mission, just fire a guided missile at the chopper. Then, stand up, turn around to the terminal, and relaunch the mission. Repeat until you get the non-Merriweather mission. If you're doing it with other people, have someone post up on the roof of Merriweather before you launch. If you get the Valkarie, they blow it up (it's a 1 shot with any explosive), you launch again, rinse, and repeat. Usually only takes a try or 2. To get the waypoints faster, when Pavel is talking to you, call Pegasus. As soon as it starts ringing, it cuts off Pavel's dialogue, and the way point pops up. Good for the scanner, torch, and vehicle missions as when you spawn outside of the Kosatka Pavel always has something to say before it tells you where to go. As you're flying up on the police station for the Longfin in your Sparrow, fire rockets as soon as you have lock on. Often, you'll hit before the cops spawn, it will flip the trailer over, and it will spawn outside of the police station on the street. Now you fly over the checkpoint at the station and land on the street. Get out. Suicide. When you spawn in, the cops will be gone, and the trailer will be in the street. Just call in the Wedge and take the boat to the docks. The scope hack at the tower, you don't have to even look at the screen to do the hack. Spam the A button. Usually takes between 1 and 3 tries, but in hundreds of Cayo runs, it has never taken more than 3 tries/10 seconds. When you leave the island, as soon as you exit the compound turn left and run to the southernmost point on the map and walk off the edge. As soon as you get in the water you will see a spot where there are 3 mines grouped together. Swim to the center if thise mines and touch the bottom. It is the closest spot to the exit of the compound where you can trigger the escape cutscene and also the fastest to get to, even on foot. If you plan to carry all gold in your loot bag, stop at a cash pile first and take 3 STACKS of cash. 3 stacks, not entire piles. 1 and 2/3 gold fills a bag, but if you take 3 stacks of cash first, you still have room for the gold. Gives an extra 30 or 40k, something like that. Sometimes. after you grab the target, the cash in the office safe respawns and can be collected again. I'm not sure how to trigger this. If anybody knows holler at me. It seems random. Always get aggressor weapons. Auto shotgun downs the juggernaut in 4 or 5 shots. Can't remember which but, doesn't really matter. Squeeze the trigger till he looks tired. I'm forgetting so much, I'm sure. I'm on autopilot anymore when we do it. My buddy and I run one each together every night, and we have the finales down to 7 minutes in a casual run. I imagine if we really leaned into it, we could squeeze out a 6, but 7 is just where the timing happens to fall when we go through the motions as the heist happens, if that makes sense. You can only kill this guy when he rounds this corner, stuff like that. As the heist falls, and we just kind meander through it, we roll out at something like 7:30-7:50, bur we could probably start hopping fences amd climbing on roofs and really motor through it but that just sounds like work, lol.

When looking for the torch (in all construction sites) I kill all the enemies with missiles when approaching (Op MkII or Sparrow), and then look for the torch easily. If I want to do all prep missions in a row, I just beach the Kosatka and use the Op MkII, you save a lot of time not flying over the ocean during each trip to the city.

I take a different route through the first part of the compound. When you first enter, take a hard left at the top of the stairs, run down the corridor to the next T intersection, go left at the wall, (you will pass the two guards you took out, @0.41) and then go right at the corner of the wall and towards the house where you are at @0.49, this results in four less guards killed so far.

For ppl that don’t have the sparrow or oppressor, call in a helicopter via Merryweather contact(1k) and simply take out the pilot. It’s not the fastest method but it’s a great alternative till you can save up for something better! Side note: ngl the helicopter occasionally despawns when you land it on top n walk into your Kotska, but not always!

I do solo runs without killing anyone. The hacks are easy. Takes about 15 seconds a hack or about a minute to do 4 finger print matches in hard mode. I loot outside the compound. I average 11 to 13 minutes to complete the heist solo, depending where loot, guard clothing, bolt cutters, and grapling hooks are located. North Dock always has all of these items in it.

The wild card for the time is where the best loot may be. If it's not in the North Docks, there is a lot of running around to do. There are two motorcycles in the North Docks too. Fastest way to get around the Island.

@@Banger4130 if you're in guard clothing you can get the on of the bikes up by the gate, just don't stay in the cone of vision long. Another challenge, instead of driving off of the cliff, drive to the main dock and steal a boat and take that out to sea to escape. You do need to take the one lone guard on the pier as he will spot you getting in the boat and sound the alarm and the helicopters will chase you and shoot at you. You will still escape them but loose loot value if your loot bag is hit.

@@Banger4130 just as an extra challenge to myself I've been trying to use the extraction point that I have chosen when starting the heist. The Alkonost is a fun and versatile entry method too. Also if you're not worried about getting elite challenge HALO jump onto the area above the party beach. There are crashed IIA and FIB helicopters up there. You can only access this area using the HALO jump.

You can kill the juggernaut easily, knock him while having a throwable equipped (O/B) and spray him with bullets while he is unconscious. headshots works best. Also you dont need to melee him if you have the assault shotgun just empty the clip for headshots and he will go down.

If you quit the heist anyother way than from the restart heist screen more than two times it will take away your heist. You will get no money and have to wait for pavel to call you again. It was done in secret by 🐔 star to discourage back to back glitch. You can clear your cache after every failed attempt. This is important if you are practicing, messing around or trying to get elite.

The way i do i look at airport is the easiest location. If i m not happy i check the north dock particularly the lock up which you need 2 players to open but we all know if the entry point is north dock you can open it alone longfin get the loot from airport or north dock no outfit required at north dock take out the guard thats walking around that lock up he won't show on map only when u really close to him and his body will despawn anyways. No need to take anyone out in compound never been so easy elite challenge every time anywhere between 9 min and 12 depends if you need to go airport or not.

I do Cayo solo and I never kill inside the compound, my only 5 kills during the whole heist is 3 guys at the airport and then the first guy outside the compound next to his bike when you’re escaping, steal the bike and drive through the trees then kill the guy driving round in a jeep, otherwise he will discover the other guy you killed and alarms go off, once you e killed them two just ride the bike off the cliff and swim out and complete the heist, take me around 11 mins and that’s getting loot first from the airport 💪🏻

Just a few minor things to add: at 8:17 you’re right, it’s best to shoot the pilot. But if you have the sparrow and are not the worst pilot, you’ll lose those initial choppers and new ones will spawn, together with the shooters in the back. Also, the free suppressors trick did not work for me. It did not let me purchase them in the final screen. Am I missing something? Did they patch it? And finally, this is prob a known fact and more like a best practice: if you choose kosatka as the approach, just fast travel to the test site, submerge, drive the kosatka close to the sub, leave the kosatka on autopilot, then do the mission.

Both of you will complete the finale as normal but the main person who launched the heist must disconnect the wifi as soon as your given the brown envelope. Both of you will take turns disconnecting the wifi as the person who disconnects the wifi wont be paid but the other guy will.

the hacking signal boxes does tend to change and there could be a guard there as well. so not to get to close to him otherwise he may become alerted. i used to play with with a old friend of mine back in the day and there was a 48 minute cool down and because of that me and friend decided it was not worth the hassle because of the big big nerfs on the cayo perico island 3 hours and 30 minutes? uh uh. rockstar needs to revert this, though are they going to do it? no they will not.

Gate key is unnecessary. You don’t even need to fire a shot. You pistol whip guard at top of stairs. Fill your loot bag at airfield, Longfin to Drainage tunnel. Enter the office, empty vault. Use elevator, get basement loot , take elevator back up. Go down stairs , jump rail, avoid guards , run to exit. Game over undetected. Exit , kill guard on bike, ride bike to ocean, swim , collect money. Make sure your loot bag is FULL from airfield loot. Not being full triggers the alarm.

gate key isn’t necessary i guess but it is faster, even if you are looting the office. the elevator keypad in the office requires three fingerprints to be unlocked while taking the gate only makes you go through a single door with a single fingerprint code. using the gate key is the fastest and most frequently used method for completing the elite challenges.

Using the elevator basically uses the same exit jumping over the rail but it’s a single risk I only kill the 3rd guard. This no longer works! When you kill the guard as shown in 0:58 there is a 90% chance for the reinforcement spawning outside of the gate to spot the guard and raise an alarm. The only safe place to kill that dude is a short distance after exiting the arch on his way back. Far enough from the gate to not get spotted, not far enough on the right side so that the Jug can't spot him. I found all of this way too tedious and risky - I just use the elevator. Considering all the waiting for the proper shot ... it's not that much of a delay. I always manage to get the elite challenge done and I lose perhaps 1 min in total but I get 100% guarantee to not get a "Dead body found" message. There may be a difference between the platforms as they run slightly different versions of the game but killing the guard as shown at 0:58 is a recipe for failure on XBox One and NextGen version on XBox S|X .

You don't even have to equip the suppressors. they are equipped by default, so dont bother

Another mistake is choosing the same approach over and over. The Kosatka one. Pick different approaches - don't be boring. For weapons setup, avoid the ''Go to Merryweather HQ'' it sucks so much it's like the Escort ULP from Act 3.

Yessir! The cooldown is attached to your character so if you switch them you can immediately start it again

With two characters you can do two heists back to back then you just have to wait for whatever's left of the cool down for the first character, then you can do two back to back again. But don't delete your second character. You only buy the sub twice.

During escape no need to kill anyone if you have outfit, just run get bikes, drive to airport, hack tower and escape. If 4 players 3 players in car slowly, biker drive fast and disable air defense

​@@manofallmenThere is 2 possibility, you took first bike but didn't get on bike opposite side from guard. If you go on bike from guard side you hit him than he alerted, or you stayed to long in front of guard. Wearing outfit doesn't mean you can stay in front of guards, you can pass, run, same like under camera during casino heist. But you can't stay, because of that you get bike and go, do not camping in his area.

If you did the merryweather weapon mission, just fly to the nearest beach and call your kosatka again. It will then appear there. I skipped the mission and it just came again, so im too lazy to switch more and just do it sometimes😂.

If you playing solo, don't bother do this. Using office more easy and fast. I do this many times and always got EC because finish it at 13 minutes without gate key (my record is 9 minutes using office and go out using gate key near front door just for escape). And so why many people kill all enemy in compound? It's actually not for gate key, it's for card for gold (since it's more faster than using glitch and corpse will disappear when shift change), but after agency update (if i not wrong) the corpse now not gone and will trigger alarm after pick primary objective. So people start think to kill enemies who not trigger alarm after shift change.
