This is why i love calisthenics: you don’t need any fancy equipment, or move to far places. You can just do it wherever you want and stick to the basic moves like push ups. As long as you commit to it, you will find harder variations and increase confidence in yourself🙌🏼

Practicing handstand facing the wall along with shoulder mobility/flexibility work is the approach 95% of people who want to learn it from whatever level they are at should start. I advice practicing mobility/flexibility with a bar. It is going to save a lot of time and make the progress consistent. 4-5 sets a day of wall handstand will show you steady progress. Then after some adaptation period you can extend your workout.
@xristoslekkas1215 жыл бұрын
What do you mean when y say with a bar exactly
@Kingkai135 жыл бұрын
@@xristoslekkas121 As far as I know he means that you use a bar (or a stick) to do shoulder mobility/flexibility workouts. Like hold a bar (or broomstick) behind you with your palms facing up. Then try to lift the bar as high as you can while keeping your back straight. Same goes for the other way around but I dont use a bar for that. For this you just hold your arms up and try to move them backwords with palms facing inwards while keeping your body straight (neck aswell, the face tends to move forward to make it feel easier). I hope this answers your question :)

There are only 2 things you need to focus on to achive the handstand : shoulder flexibility and PRACTICE WITH A WALL !!! I spent an entire year but still can't hold a solid handstand for 3 sec. Then I tried to take a step back , do it with a wall and after a few weeks, I could hold it for 15 sec.
@pavelh61475 жыл бұрын
trying to learn self-standing handstand (without wall) is hard because you spend only few seconds in the top position, its good to learn kick-ups though. The wall is good to acquire solid strength in shoulders and fingers a firm core posture :) to sum up. And wall assisted tucked handstand helps a lot with shoulder mobility.

Damn that's impressive. You're going much faster than me! I started in January of this year. I get the occasional 15 second hold now... but my shoulder mobility was incredibly bad when I started and while it's much better, it's still getting in the way. Hopefully, next year, I'll be able to do this. Press to handstand is also my goal. What irks me though, is I can't lean over, catch myself and push up like you do... but I can do 8 of those handstand pushups on the wall ( at 4:44 )! It seems so much harder to push out when I just lean over, as opposed to sliding up and down the wall. Ah well.. wish me luck. I'll get there! Awesome job! You're a beast for sure!

What helped me progress in doing handstands was doing Dumbbell Shoulder presses and military presses as well as being a low bf. Granted, there are some people who can do a handstand who are big, but again, it helps to do a handstand if you don't have much weight to deal with. Additionally, doing crow poses and wall handstands will help in your training.
