Are there any astrolabes that are heliocentric?

Logically one would think so.

Yes considering Aristarchus of Samos (/ ˌ æ r ə ˈ s t ɑːr k ə s /; Greek: Ἀρίσταρχος ὁ Σάμιος, Aristarkhos ho Samios; c. 310 - c. 230 BC) had that view and others likely did as well.

@@l0I0I0I0Didn't both "study" in Egypt, at one time or another? Nobody wants to give them any credit for what those know-it-all Greeks have likely appropriated from those supposedly incorruptible (secretive) E.priests. Sun dials, star worship, calendars and the Moon, and the knowledge of precession of the equinoxes, at least 10 constellations of the zodiac, and astrolabes are Greek? It could be the Greeks were the spreaders of the 1st "age of discovery" IMHumblO

These brilliant Greeks visited Egypt at one time or another I do believe, and isn't it possible they appropriated the already known knowledge as their own, secretive (but maybe impressed and trusting) as the Egyptian priests were?Maybe there was one earlier "age of discovery" these non-oriental geniuses were part of creating along with those quick-study Romans, and both get all the credit!?

A recent discovery of a 3700-year-old clay tablet suggests that Babylonian mathematicians invented trig. used by ancients to measure celestrial bodies in astronomy.

Gee, that rock crystal "duck " bowl for 'makeup' looks too Egyptian to me. That's their type of well-known craftsmanship; so why not an imported luxury item the deceased wanted or was thought to want in her grave as a cherished, useful (and $) knicknack? Didn't have a clue those clever Minoans were so adept at crystal carving, but so be it - not a puzzle why it wouldn't be included in any grave, and we are lucky to see it (and all the other things you tell us about). Thanks!
